    Would this work on models like the concord pro banjo, with the air intake adjustment plate on the front? I like the design of those but i hate that the pressure regulator is on the tank. Awesome video BTW!

    • @mikec8771
      @mikec8771 4 місяці тому

      The adapter kit is designed to fit between the 3/8" male flare fitting on the burner side, and female fittings on the regulator side. So if the banjo has those separated fittings then they should work.

    When showing something do not assume everyone will go at your speed. Do it slower so ppl have time to replicate what you are showing. Still good stuff

      Click on the cog, click on playback speed, click on 0.5 or 0.25. Stop telling people to do things at unnatural speeds to suit you specifically when there's controls for you to change the speed yourself.

    Great video. I really like your station set up and I'm looking to do something similar. Question, the barrier that you have around the gas burner is made of glass? Where did you find/buy that, or did you make it yourself? I'd really like to have something identical to your set up.

    Regardless of the fuel, whether portable stove, induction or electric.... ANY skillet, pot, pan, wok with hot oil in it will ignite!! Glad you had a lid handy to extinguish the fire correctly.

    • @brin57
      @brin57 2 роки тому

      I think the point being made is not that it can ignite, but that it can get to that point quickly, which is essential for good wok cooking.

    This Iwatani 35FW is absolutely the best butane burner. Your video proves how quick it can heat up. 15k BTU, and it literally uses up all the fuel in the butane canister because it has the heat panel. No wasted fuel. I had a cheap-o Coleman stove, and well, let's say you get what you pay for. Butane would leak out unexpectedly when we were travelling. So we bought the Iwatani. I also did a review on the 35FW - if you have time you can check it out. Definitely THE most amazing burner out there! Here is review... ua-cam.com/video/XyHQ64GVXKM/v-deo.html

    Hey Mike, I have been looking for a powerful portable butane stove to do some wok frying, because my home induction stove can't do the job.... Thanks for the demonstration. The cooking oil started smoking within 35sec of heating up the wok....! The oil in the wok is hot enough to be ignited with a little help from the flame, within one min....! Impressive....! That is how you get the much talk about - "Wok Hay"....That smokey, char taste normally achieved only with very high temperature jet engine type of commercial stove....!

  • @KeanuK2020
    @KeanuK2020 4 роки тому

    Seriously? He tilted the wok to spill hot oil onto the flame. I am certain a towering flame can be created even with a low BTU portable butane stove if a hot oil is spilled on it.

      All trash. butane gas is butane gas, whatever brand is on the can. It's like Gillette saying that to use their razors to the best of its ability, you must buy the Gillette shaving gel or foam - which we all know is crap. All gas cannisters are made to the same safety standards. (4 years late, I know! 😫)

    Did you see him pore the hot oil on to the burner? He started that fire.... you should always know your stove burner but ratings. Then you will know how fast it will get hot.... and not start a fire. He also had a cover there too. Its always good to have a box of baking soda on an too.
