What ruins this song for me is at 7:36 the pianist (Burrell) clearly hits a wrong note. I find it surprising that they would release this take of "Echo" with this flaw. Whoever produced this lp should be ashamed.

At the Age of 14 I bought this record at Berlins Europa Center in 1970 as an oulet for 5 DM: It caused a live long love for improvised music.Please listen to Sunny Murray and the permant sizzling of his cymbels/hihat and the snare rolls. He´s a real master of drums and still alive and playing and playing.

my brain is picking apart the different instruments and following them along, like keeping track of 3rd graders on the playground at recess after a 3 hours standardized test, making sure nobody gets hurt. All having fun, doing their own thing.

He takes a deep breath, exhales. Inhales, and then:: starts hyperventilating and spazzing out. Yet there's patterns within, risings and fallings, emphasizings and deemphasizings.... assertions and reductions.... I'm listening now and this is my interpretation as it goes :)

J'ai ce disque avec une pochette différente: Canada ( photomontage avec des paysages) Les musiciens: jean préfontaine, yves charbonneau, guy thouin, maurice richard et pierre nadeau en pianiste invité. J'écoutais ça religieusement...et ça me plaisait!

Hey good on you for only posting an excerpt. This is the way it should be. If people want to hear the whole songs they should go out and by them. Independent artists damn sure need and deserve their support.
