Making videos about the journeys I go on and the pictures I take with a revolving cast of friends.
Solo Winter Camping On Colorado's Grand Mesa
I go winter camping on Colorado's Grand Mesa. Chopping wood, making fires, campfire cooking, and barely sleeping. It was a great winter campout.

The Cowboy Camp and Cook
Переглядів 18610 місяців тому
It's exactly how it sounds. We took a ton of food out to the desert and cook up grub over the campfire. Camp bread, cowboy stew, and peach cobbler followed up by a night under the stars. It don't get much better folks. GRADED WITH DEHANCER: www.dehancer.com/ Use Code: DEATHBYEXPOSURE for 10% off your purchase. Social: Instagram: db_exposure #campfire #campfirecooking #camping Mus...
Winter Camping In the Colorado Wilderness.
Переглядів 67910 місяців тому
For my first time ever, I trek off into the Colorado wilderness and sleep in the snow. This was my first time ever snow camping and I learned from a ton of mistakes. Don't use anything in this video as an example because I did A LOT wrong. That's just how you learn though. In the end, it was incredibly fun and I'm excited to do it again, but better. All of the music in this video was composed a...
ROCKY MOUNTAIN.
Переглядів 40310 місяців тому
Me and my friend finally made our way over to Rocky Mountain National park for the first time ever. This one is more of a vlog style video (I think I took like 5 pictures and they all sucked). We went cold camping in twenty degree weather and hiked up to a few frozen lakes. Getting the Hell Out of L.A. (and moving to Colorado.)
Переглядів 47311 місяців тому
I met so many wonderful people in L.A. but the city just wasn't for me (way too expensive and way too busy), so I decided to move with my friend out to Colorado and take things a lot slower. My Dad met me out in L.A. and we decided to turn the move into a 4-day road trip through Utah and see most of its national parks. Getting Altitude Sickness in the Eastern Sierra.
Переглядів 58111 місяців тому
What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend trip turned into a surprise mountaineering adventure in the Eastern Sierras. I climbed up to a Sierra Mountain Lake and ended up feeling the effects of altitude sickness, Who knew subjecting your body to 11,000 feet of elevation gain in 24 hours would do that to you? I switched up the style for this video from my typical narration blog so let me know w...

awesome. I am dealing with the same issues.
That's an impressive job! Thank you for the video!
kinda miss this guy
I have the Pentax 6x7 MLU (Mirror Lock Up). To prevent the massive mirror from messing up a long exposure, there’s a switch on the right side that helps a ton. I’m planning on a trip to Haleakala for full moon, open shutter for 1 hour while looking directly at the observatory.
Ich habe eine Fm und liebe diese Kamera
💯🇹🇷⭐️👍 I have 1 of this F3 device, it is very clean, it is for sale, if anyone is interested, there is a video on my UA-cam channel.
Beautiful vid thought this had like 6 mil views it’s so well edited
Nice video! I might just buy the epson hahah, also whats the max resolution of the scanner? Can u scan at 4k?
My Nikon FM is a breeze to use, very sturdy construction, and you can find tons of nice lenses for it. One of the best 35mm cameras you can get without breaking your bank.
hey bro beautiful photos, buying an fm myself. with metering, are you exposure compensating by a stop at all with the + sign of the viewfinder metering
I’ve discovered it’s fairly dependent on the film you’re using, most of the time I’m aiming for dead center in the highlights but sometimes I overexpose by one stop.
Congratulations 👏
Next up you should buy nikon f2, the best camera no doubt
I love my FM, and I got it a friend, an FM2N 😅
We share the same passion. Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure! It's inspiring to see others embrace the beauty of the great outdoors.
This just popped up as reccommened and I'm so happy it did. Deserving of way more 'exposure' pun intended. Just gained a fan for sure!! Awesome video, raw and authentic love it man!
That's awesome, I'm sure I would be dead after night in the forrest by myself, not to mention the snow!
Honestly I really love the shot at 1:12. Just something about the blue sky and the perfect amount of grain.
I can tell you put a lot of thought into cinematography. Keep putting videos out there.
Hooray
I love winter camping. The snow is beautiful.
Here's the written recipe! veganonboard.com/campfire-bread-on-a-stick-recipe/
This makes me want to go and try camping in the snow this weekend, thanks for the tips
I LOVE how one of my favorite photography channels has become my new favorite camping channel! Thank you for the excellent videos!
Thank you so much for watching them!
Your channel is awesome. I love the Kerouac like vibe. LA is not for everyone. Take a swim andi f you don't like it there's many places that you can go.
I'm super impressed for your resiliences to camp outdoors in the frost of Winter! I'm super excited for when the warmth of Spring comes in and for you to continue this journey. Please bring the Mamiya RB67 and do some star trails with it in the future!
Will do! The place I moved to doesn’t have a lab any more so trying to work up the courage to develop my own film haha, so having to stick with digital for now.
@@dbexposure I used to send all my film to Memphis Film Lab in Ohio for a like several years. I still recommend them because their work is top notch. As well I do send more specialized work or bulk work to them because their prices can't be beat!
I’ll check them out!
A great winter outing. Salami, cheese and crackers I've found are great for any and all occasions. Thanks for sharing. Most enjoyable.
I find the "Elevator Music" to be both a distraction and very annoying 😒 I'll view this later, with the sound off.
Amazing views while cowboy camping!
Where is this?
This was filmed in Grand Mesa National Forest
It’s 65F here I think it’ll be ok in flip flops
Im new here. I just wanted to say I thought this video was awesome. Very first video I"ve ever watched on this topic. It won't be the last.
Well! That was a friggin awesome outing. Thanks for sharing. Most enjoyable.
Casually going to start collecting Laundry Lint in the hopes of going camping one day
Lovely as always!!!
No such thing as too much pepper.
“Yeah, that’ll bake out”
Stomp the snow and wait at least twenty minutes. It will firm up and then set up the tent. You don’t have to dig unless you’re on a tremendous amount of powder. If the trail looks like what I saw, a pulk sled would be nice. Pulling equipment depending on what you’re sliding on is easier than on your back
Thanks for the tips! I think a sled is definitely the move for next time. Been spending a lot more time on snow since filming, excited to do more winter expeditions!
@@dbexposure good luck and nice scenery good trip
Great video, pictures turned out beautiful!
the way you edit this is so magical, and the scenery is so beautiful it doesnt even seem real omg
love the editing! sick video
Awesome trip. Thanks for sharing. Have a Great New Year.
Beautiful! Where was this?
Maroon Lake outside of Aspen
Congrats on the move! Looks like you're over on the Western Slope. I lived over in Fruita for a few years. Incredible place!
Wow! Too much fun. ❤ it! Have an amazing new life in Colorado man! Cannot wait to see more vids, peace! 🎉
Corn Gratis! 🎉🎉🎉
Best Christmas present ever 🙏
Colo is where my two sons live. I enjoy visiting them as often as I can. Good luck with your coming adventures!
Wish I could go back to Colorado.
Great video as always! Bummed you dislike Nevada so much, I love that state. Also, both times you've been to Zion have been great to watch. I've had that park on my bucket list for like 3 years now.
Man it’s an awesome park, I probably haven’t given Nevada enough of a chance haha. Just haven’t had incredible experiences the few times I’ve been
@@dbexposure it's got its charm for sure. Valley of Fire, Red Rocks Canyon, The Extraterrestrial Highway all have been excellent places I felt. Then again I'm usually out there with my buddies, so maybe it's the company that makes these areas special to me.
Did similar but Cleveland and Calexico !
