Would you believe that in DeKalb County where I reside, ringing church bells is considered noise pollution? I kid you not! The U.S.A. is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave as our National Anthem says, and I don't even want to live here! I want to move back to France to live the rest of my life over there, because I absolutely love that country and its people. I can't even begin to tell you how bad things have become over here, and many blind people have had to relocate, because we're treated as if we're total nuisances. In other words, we've gone backwards, and people in general are only concerned about themselves. Of course, there are exceptions, and one of them just so happens to be my favorite musician of all time. Are you familiar with Pat Metheny?

Oh! There's more! Thank you so much. I've been totally blind since birth, and I can't tell you how safe I felt whenever I heard church bells ring, even at night. I had nightmares a lot as a child, so waking up to them ringing reminded me that the Saints and the Angels were always near along with Christ and His Holy Mother, the Theotokos. Of course, at the time i lived in France, I'd not heard about the Orthodox Christian Faith except that I attended a Greek wedding when I was around 4 years old. I had no idea what it was all about, but now, I absolutely love this way of Life. Again, thank you so much for bringing this! It means so much.

You have no idea how much I miss that sound at around 24:00 to 25:00. I used to live in France, and we had two churches near us: one Protestant and one Roman Catholic. Now that I'm Orthodox Christian, (Greek Orthodox), I also love the sound of those bells. Christ is risen!
