Here is my story!
Hello, my name is Robert Valentin, I am 31 years old, living in Bucharest, Romania. 4 years ago i discovered leathercrafting, from the moment i made my first product out of leather i kinda fell in love with that. My first product was a key chain stitch with thread by hand and a button to open and close it. It was my first thing made of leather i was amazed because it looked good, actually it looked really good and i was satisfied because i have created something with my hands. That feeling was amazing, never felt like this, i was proud of myself because i created something great. That key chain is still attached on my keys, i keep it to remember myself that it came great. That was my start in leathercraft. I have a dream, that one day, i will be able to pursue leathercrafting full time. I am pretty sure that this dream will become true with hard work, alot of sweat and sometimes with many hard moments but it`s fine because always we have something new to learn.

The pattern comes with predefined holes, but if you have your own pricking irons you can use them.
Holes are 1mm diameter and the distance between them is 4mm from center of the hole.
The pattern comes with straight corners but if you want to round the corners you can do it with a special tool, but be aweare not to damage the stitch.
Finished product dimensions: 11.5 x 9 cm
Leather thickness: 1.2 - 1.4 mm
You will recive x2 PDF files. One with the template and the second one is with assembly instructions.

That is water base edge paint, it is not made from chemicals

I have used 3 layers there, 2 layers of leather and 1 layer of stiffner, regenerated leather

@@DHArts-ej8wc for 3.5 i cut the leather to 3.3 and for 4 i cut the leather at 3.8 aprox

Yes, i have, you can find the cut file / pattern to my etsy shop 😊 there will be a set of 3 key chains
What thickness of leather did you use?
1.2 mm on the face, 1.2 mm on the back and 0.6 mm stiffener between layers of leather
How to you cut the Blanks? (machine, press...)
I currently have a clicker press dye, and i cut the pieces with my 5 ton press

WHAT the screw driver did u use for the screws?
What if I want to shorten the belt? Do I unscrew the buckle and cut the lenght I need?
Not really, because the belt end is going trough the buckle and you will need to finish the edge of the belt and sew the leather. So you will need to bring the belt to a professional leathercrafter to do this operatin

I know, this was the customer wish, the old belt was too small and this is why he decided to make a new longer belt, he opted for a budged belt, not even middle of high end build :(

The thickness of the belt is 3 -3.5 mm, yes the belt is made with 3 layers. Two layers of leather and one layer of leather stiffener.
But how do you fix the ball on the buckle

I did not buy the leather online, i got it from my local supplier here in Romania 😔
I mostly use chrome tanned leather
