Mind you I would like to know if you have read Midas Touch or have seen the video where Papa Hagin spoke with his protegee (I don't have the video but have read the book at least two times). There are many statements in that book that Damina himself don't believe in and preach otherwise. Hagin believes there is a blessing attached to tithing but our dear Abel Damina preach otherwise and many more that i can personally raise now. So what is the difference between someone who never followed the book and someone who choose what to follow in the book. For me, Abel is a much funny as the other ones. Amen. They should not be corrected when they are going astray by teaching what is not the Gospel? 1. Oyedepo said Job was pursnish bcos of tithe 2. Adeboye said if u don't say tithe u re going to hell full stop! 3. Benny has confess that he lied n ude gimmicks in his crusade. And he apologize..he even said he might do it again..that it was pressure of prosperity Gospel at praise a ton..na him n pastor christ dey do that one U just quoted a scripture say we prophecy in part right? Do I have to become an unbeliver to win an unbeliever to Christ? Now, can we safely say the Spirit of God was behind that song? Also, there are too many contemporary gospel artists to chose from, from Florocka to Emmanuel Prinx to Tim Godfrey to Testimony Jaga, so many of them. Dr Abel is still one of the best, as far as bible interpretation is concerned. There's always a problem when one jumps into a discussion which he or her knows the title or the direction the talk is going to. Listening a teaching from the beginning to end will help you understand it more... The same is applicable to understanding bible and it's interpretation.

There are times I don't stand for what he preaches but most times, I do view the full message to get a full context. I have listened to the full message.

To say you do something in someone's authority can hardly go without mentioning who that person is. Even the Jews asked Jesus:in whose name/authority are you doing these things (Matt 21:23). Saying "in Jesus name" is to tell heaven and earth that you are not acting in your own power/authority/qualifications/for your own selfish interests. If anyone asks you while you are preaching to him that who sent you to come to him for this, are you not right to say it is the Lord Jesus Christ (according to Mk 16:15) ? Or how else would you answer such person scripturally ? David told Goliath of Gath that "...but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel...". You see, you hardly can separate one's authority from his name. What Damina is saying is more or less pointless except for him to attract attention by saying strange things and to boast or puff up. What exactly is his intention here, is it to eradicate or lessen the mention of Jesus name in our prayers or what ? Has mentioning of Jesus name become wrong/offensive to him ? Is just knowing in our hearts that we are acting under Christ's authority but not mentioning his name what makes us better Christian or what ? Damina needs our prayers please.

Mr. Man, do you think Abel Damina did not see that scripture you are quoting stupidly without paying attention to other scriptures and context. Abel Damina always have holistic view of a scripture in connection with other scripture, before he says a thing. Let me ask you, when Jesus sent his disciple in Luke-10, did you think they were calling Jesus name, like we do today? One thing you need to know 1st is that Christ is in you and you are in Christ, so authority is inside you. Is like being a Redeem member and casting of devil calling Adegboye name. But to be sincere, he's not necessarily wrong. To ask in someone's name means to do something with that person's authority. If the president sends me a message, i will go and tell them that it's the president's order. I could show them the seal. I am not saying asking IJN is wrong, btw. Infact, I don't agree with Dr Damina on many things. This one is even the least of them. When he said Jesus was not born of Mary, i find it very erroneous. But when i asked one of his followers the relationship between Mary and Jesus, he really couldn't give an answer. And a lt of the times, he is not opened to criticism. I agree that he knows some truths and is vast in teh word of God. But i have listen to some thing he says that make him questionable.
