After a non-intermission of Man in Chair rambling about his blood-sugar issue, chewing on a power bar, and reminiscing about his wedding day (surprised?) he decides he has to pee and puts on the second record of The Drowsy Chaperone for us. But something seems off....What is it about the asians that fascinates caucasians? Matt Volpe: Emperor, Corynne Peters: American Lady, Maura Ricci: Pink chi...

just release themselves from any pressure inside their own life , that's Why the Kids love to do Springtime for Hitler , isn't it
Is this a high school play?
Yep!
The kid isn't flamboyant enough
メルブルックス最高!!!
Love the cute chorus boys! <3
lol i get the feeling i'm not technically meant to see this, the algorithm has blessed you
kinda weird they randomly used a voice clip from one of the movies, not even the more famous movie
It was Mel Brooks who wrote this play. He is dubbed in the movies as well. Nice nod.
@@craveDFW i don't like it, sounds stupid. and he's not dubbed in every movie because it sounds different in at least one of them. it sounds better to just have a normal person say the line
I’ve been binge watching different performances, and for the most part they dub those small sections, almost seems like a tradition to do it at this point
@@cannonfodder8907 Mel Brooks had it written into the legalese, as I understand it--every production (even the 2005 movie), has to use his voice for the line "Don't be stupid, be a smartie, come and join the Nazi Party". Not much of a choice, if I understand it correctly.
It was brave of Mel to produce such a musical film less than 23 years after the end of the horror, and the success confirmed it
Based
I wonder what would happen if they tried to do this play in schools today?
It’s still done in schools today. This is only a few years ago. Art is art.
@@lapetitepapillon9101 That means the sjws haven't completely taken over yet. There is hope for humanity yet!
@Robert Puffer I still do it lol they can't stop me and I'm not going down without a gunfight.
I would love to see a new popular jukebox ensemble cast epic coming-of-age historic biographical war two-part musical, entitled: "World-Wars I and II: The Musical", where it takes place first during WWI (Act I) and then WWII (Act II which could begin with "Springtime For Hitler", recycled, as its evil opening musical number) with an on-stage narrator (who would be seen throughout the show to tell the story) many actors and actresses each portraying the many famous leaders and participants, each professionally with the right accents and impressions, and many spoken-dialogues between each and every musical number. #WorldWarsIandIITheMusical
Just make a musical about Witold Pilecki lmao. You could throw in a sideplot about how he slowly was distanced from his family. Make act 1 about his experiences before and during WW2. Have it start at the end of the Soviet-Bolshevik war. Have it end on the Warsaw Uprising. Act 2 begins on the fall of Warsaw and the “liberation” by the Soviets. End the play at his execution in Mokotow prison. You get the history nerds and the traditional musical-goers with the sideplot about his family. Easy money.
I wonder if any minority students tried to audition.
The guy portraying Hitler looked Jewish, which in my opinion makes this even more sarcastic. Not gay enough, though, which was the point. Nice job.
2:30-2:36 Loved how this production kept Mel Brooks saying the line.
Mel Brooks had that written into every production--they have no choice.
I’m sorry, but I can’t seem to fit this school anywhere on my based chart. Everytime I try to put it on it just flies up the scale. I think I need a bigger chart.
Inki Gaming that’s so kind of you to say!! The kids all worked so hard on this, and your comment inspired me to watch and laugh again this morning :)
When I was in high school we begged our drama teacher to put on the producers but unfortunately we live in a Bible Belt community so this play wouldn’t fly and it was a no go but I guys did an awesome job with this
This is awesome. That kid does it right. And whole cast is on point.
This brought a tear to my eye~ Good job! Ya'll made me laugh!
Were they actually allowed to wear swastikas?
Constance Williams, Yep! Art is art.
But not display flags or ss uniforms. Strange censoring. The humor stems from the absolute adoration of the most vile organization in modern history. If you water down the adoration by censoring swastikas and uniforms you water down the humor. Its shocking immediately with the huge flags. Theyre robbing the audience of that.
This is awesome! could you upload more please? :)
Pascale van Gils --- that's all I took for this show, sorry! I have a couple from last year that I may add later.
Excellent job!!! I can't wait to play this in the pit orchestra. Should be an awesome experience!
Nicely done :)
LOL!
