Battery backup??
Im hesitating between the panasonic v785 and the sony cx 405.. They both look like they have a very good rendering but the prices are very different
What is your intended use? The feature set and overall picture quality of the 785 is much better than the 405. In low light, the 405 is rather unusable. But, if you’re looking for a small, light camcorder for taking video at the park or beach, it’s tough to beat the price of the 405. I mostly use my 405 in multicam setups when I want a weird angle, b-roll, or a backup of the main camera. The 785 (or 770) is normally used for my main cam or closeup angles.
@jasonsikora5011 It's the first camera that I'm buying so I'm not quiet the expert, but I want a cam that I can take with me everyday in my bag, something rather convenient and with an overall good quality. I think I'd use it for capturing souvenirs, and everyday moments, but I also like to take some outside/cinematic footages too. The more versatile it is the better I guess But I'm planning on using it pretty frequently, so the price doesn't really matter as long as it's a long term use I think
I’d get the 785. It’s a versatile camcorder. I bought it cause I wanted a third 770, but they were discontinued. I’d argue that by default, it does better than my Canon XA40. I’m super happy with it.
Thanks
plz reply.. Canon vixia hf r800 vs Panasonic hc v785 which is best among these?
I prefer the Panasonic.
@@jasonsikora5011 which is more zoom lens in between
which camcorder do you use the most?
The Panasonic V770 gets the most use. The V785 is a close second, as it’s pretty close to the V770. I also have a Canon XA40 (not shown in this video), which, given the price point, should be much nicer than the Panasonic. But in automatic mode, the Panasonic almost always looks better.
@jasonsikora5011 Thanks a lot! This is helpful! I'm in the market for a camcorder. I will look into the Canon as well. I'm thinking about the V785 or Canon. Sony cx405 don't have any ports to mount anything.
@@jasonsikora5011 Thanks for this. I was thinking about going with the 770 over the 785.
@@yourmomsbox7455 both are similar, and great. You can’t go wrong, either way. They are my favorite go-to cameras when a project comes up.
@@jasonsikora5011what’s different about the v770 and the 785k? ? Everywhere I look they are basically identical ?
%200 = Full Zoom correct?
I apologize for my failure to respond... I don't hop on here too often. The 200% was a zoom in Final Cut Pro. I did it to provide a better idea of the video noise.
Hi, thank you for the comparison. Just a quick note: I believe that the HDR-CX405 camcorder is actually made by Sony, not Canon.
Whoops. You are correct. Thanks!
Update: Fixed in the title and description. I'll see if I can fix the video when I have a moment.
Thanks !!!
Don't you have to compress the spring first?
He failed to mention that.
You have to sit the inner o ring on the upper part before inserting the new part.

All instructional videos should be like this. Short and easy to follow. Thanks!
Great tutorial-concise, accurate, gives you all the information you need. Was able to change mine out and solve the problem, reassemble and up and running in less than a half hour. Only difference was my valve had a screw holding the valve to the handle.
Great job. Atleast it didn't get lost. ,
