Darn it! I missed it.

Just bought a foldcat. I’m a fat guy. 260 lbs. I have to enter the foldcat from the water because we don’t have docks in the lakes here. Went to launch it. Put my foot on the pontoon with my other foot on in the water. The whole thing tilted sideways. I was prepared for that so I didn’t fall in or lose anything. I never ended up getting in it because then I realized the Newport trolling motor won’t secure to the sea eagle transom. Today I’m going to try getting in by putting my foot in the center of the aluminum plank and one hand on the seat. I’ll also fix the transom issue with wood. Any suggestions with the boarding issue. Thank you. I very much appreciated your video. It was the most useful fold cat video out there for me. Thanks again.

My 50lb line just broke tonight, my favourite lure Is long gone. This is the 2nd time it broke off with a popper. And it's very frustrating.

They have a new agreement. Pacific Corps has given control of the lake bed property's back to the Tribes. Your comment about the Tribes "changed their minds" is a problematic. A hundred years ago the Tribes had no voice. If they did. The dams never would have been built. Which Tribal members were part of the agreement? It is a long river. Separate tribes as I know them. Yurok, Karuk, Modoc, Hoopa, Shasta, Paitute.

Great to see more people tying flys ,when i started over fourty years ago used to just use fingers and half hitch ,took me a while to get used to whip finisher ,now wouldn't be without .tight line's form the uk 🙏👍🏻

Hate that blasted whip finisher. My Issue was always being left handed. Watching a right under person do it didn’t seem to help.. I have figured it out tho. I’m also a huge fan of just a few simple half hitches

When I started out it was old school. There was no videos. Just printed instruction. Eric Leister put out the fly tying kits that I used. Patterns were the Adams, White Cahill, and Hendricksons. Hooks were all Mustads. Materials were all natural. Yeah, starting out with dry flies isn't the easiest way. But I was young and had eyes of steel. Been a pursuit that I have kept up to this day. :) Neil 🎣

Fiddly bits. I tied my first egg with fly foam the other night. It’s not what I wanted it to turn out like but we are learning patience with this new hobby. At least we have many references at our disposal.

You mentioned the healthcare up there, I was wondering how is it if you have a lot of chronic illnesses/have to see a specialist often? Thinking about moving up there but I hear bad things about Sky Lakes hospital and that the wait time for specialists is very long.

The dams needed to be removed ! But the sediments needed to be dredged out before removal plain and simple. It will take decades to flush out into the mudhole in the pacific out front of the klamath. Decades for the trees willow ash etc to grow to shade the river again.. As far as the sasenach narrating this go home to where you come from ! The river will heal itself just gona take time lots of time!

This just happened to me yesterday. It was my second cast using 50lb breided line and my $15 kastmaster spoon just went flying and flying 😢 without return. It hurts when you lose a brand new lure. But i guess I learned something. I will be using flourocarbon for my lures from now on. Thanks. Lesson learned, the hard way.

Dude, I’m in the same boat. I’ve been gifted two Orvis rods and now I’m saying, “what do I do with this!!” Oh my, what a rabbit hole this new adventure will be! We will be aiming for the riffles in no time.
