Finally did most the necessary upgrades to keep this #ToyotaFj40 from rolling over. Most recent upgrade was the Rc4wd 8274 (Z-E0075) @warnindustries Trailer is from "Xtra speed" 1/10 can be found online. Ebay, Amazon or local hobby shop. Today went out for a day run, nothing special just wanted to drive around until two 5200mah 3s batteries ran out. 24 minutes of raw uncut footage. upgrades since last run. wheels and tires have been placed backwards to see if it helps. Sometimes changing direction helps with traction. Decided to try the isdt70 to see if it was compatible, it wasn't. Bluetooth programming on the fly was cool, but the motor wasn't. Started to overheat, maybe it could be due to me adjusting the mesh. Either way it would tweak out when I put drag brake past level 8 out of 20 setting. I tried adjusting it a little but no success. Nice all.good products! Ive been using ecopower servos since they came out, what do you think about them? Like the base chassis lots of room. Also love me a basic radio for the same reason
@@gerrysoldguyreview Eco power is ok, stripped one servo needs gears. Let's see how this one holds up. Base chassis is more performance vs the other 2 speed setup for sure. What radio you like to run?

I have the Carisma Coyote 2.1 with the programmer it’s been sitting for awhile so I need to get it out. That body is awesome they have a licensed Toyota now that looks great it has the same 2.1 esc & programmer. The original motor in it had a pretty decent crawl once programmed but I was running on a hot day & it got hot it never went out but it weakened it so I replaced it with a Element Reedy motor but really haven’t ran it for months. Thanks for the look the Ford body is much nicer looking then the Coyote.
@@Casitascrawlers Not a bad platform, I like it. Seen the Tacoma body is very detailed. Running alot of drag brake gets motors really hot I've noticed. Run yours I'd like to see that video soon. 👍

I've started putting brushless in all my go fast rigs!
Brushless is the way to go.
you can regain the lost torque by stepping down the pinion gear size , you can also go fusion but a 1200 fusion has more torque than an 1800 - i use the 1200 in straight axle rigs and the 1800 in portals where you need the faster speed to make up for the gear reduction in the portal axles
@@HillbillyAdventures All good info thank you. After running 4 fusions, 2 1200s & 2 1800s figured this rig needs more wheel speed. Might go with 2300kv to spin the heavy metal axles and 2.2s that actually grip. If you have experience with the fusion pro let me know please. 👍

Not ture. VRD Carbon is pretty built proof.
Vanquish is the best hands down, however this was built before they released any rtr. Great products just out of my price range. Rather take a nice looking rig with crappy drivetrain and mod it vs buying something that is performance oriented. Thanks for the comment, just did ar60 axles on another rig with hyrax tires. Looks cooler than any ripper imho, cheaper too.

It does have less, however it is top heavy compared to mashigan. From little I've used it prevents it from rolling over honestly.
