People please do your own research. I am a Mercedes technician and this is a good engine. The problem she is speaking of only affected a few engines.. this is actually a very reliable engine. Anything mass produced on an assembly line will have a few that are not 100%... for the most part this is a good engine. Now the water pump is the downfall of this engine, but is not a reason not to buy the car

I owned this car for 9 years. Nothing broke. If you drive your car properly you don't need to worry about it going into disrepair

ml 350 is not reliable but comfortable to drive 10 years still running and had to spend 35% of the value of the car, engine gives in at 175000(the whole camshaft fails|) even after doing timely maintenance ,new ones will be worst,if no worries of money its a good car
