This was my Father's room on an 11 day Caribbean cruise. FYI, I did contact ship services about the door to the verandah, and they fixed the ramp sill!
The lifeboats on the Rotterdam are a bit lower than the other Pinnacle Class ships, so the view over the lifeboat is improved.

Have you heard of the Coldest Night of the Year? Normally, teams in the Comox Valley gather and walk 5 kilometres, but this year we will be walking individually. All support proceeds will go to Comox Valley Transition Society and Dawn to Dawn: Action on Homelessness, 2 great organizations that help the homeless, hungry and hurting here in the Comox Valley.

Please excuse the cheesy herky-jerky video...I'm not very good and I'll admit it! We were on HAL's second to last Mexican Riviera cruise before COVID-19 shut everything down. LOVED this room! Took a Holland america shore excursion the day we arrived in Fort Lauderdale. Was on board the Koningsdam for a 9 day Caribbean cruise.

Did you hear a lot of noice from the lido deck?
Hi! Unfortunately, yes. The bang, bang, bang of the trolley carts on the tile floor in the Lido area was quite loud for my husband. I personally can sleep through a hurricane, but my husband is a light sleeper, and so it was noticeable for him.

Thanks for the video. Wondering why you didnt store the suitcase under the bed. Was there not enough room???
lol...Ask my husband! I sleep on the other side, and my suitcases were under the bed with still more room, in addition to the drawers at the end of the bed.

No... there were decent sized swells when we left San Diego, but the captain had the stabilizers out....it was a smooth ride!

The liquid soap and lotion have been standard for many years. Nothing to do with pandemic.
Thanks for that Julie. My experience on the Koningsdam in 2019 was that at the sink, there was a cake bar or soap, and an individual bottle of the Elemis lotion. In the shower was the body gel, shampoo, and conditioner.
Do you have to preorder the 3X robe or ask your room steward when you meet him?
Hi Connie, we just asked our room steward the first time I see them. I have a list of things that I like (ice in the ice bucket twice a day, fruit in the basket, fridge cleared out, etc) and the robe is always on the list. Never been disappointed!

Thanks for the video but I have a question: where did you leave your suitcases?
Sorry, didn't show this part, but there is ample space under the bed. I had a large soft-sided case, 27" x 11", and a hard-sided carry-on, and my hubby had a similar set. All fit under the bed. there is also a set of drawers under the bed for more storage as well.

We're stepping aboard O in Rome, on May 1st of this coming season. Lord willing and the Covid-19 don't rise, of course. And so I enjoyed this room-tour, very much. And I must add (about cheesy-ness) that an important part of the charm of it is its genuineness: it comes across as real and warm, rather than polished or slick. Kudos, keep these coming, Leanne!
Well James, Lord willing, I'll be on the Rotterdam in December with my husband, father and his friend! We have a guarantee verandah, so it will be a surprise as to what room we will have.

Nice cabin and very nice balcony! We’re thinking of booking the same category, did you experience any noise from the deck below or above in the cabin? Or maybe from the engine?
No noise whatsoever in this room! It was very quiet. My Husband is a light sleeper, and he said he didn't hear a thing.
