I really wanna see Amtrak 100❤
Nice seeing an old Alco doing a days work …
Indeed!
why does it sound slightly higher pitched than the regular 8 port siren
the same reason why a p15 sounds slightly lower pitched than this one. different sirens sound different even if they have the same port ratio
@@vantaaax but aren't they supposed to be running at the same motor speed
@@GrantP-y1g1000T yeah, but age on the motor, the different sizings of the rotor and stator, and the overall design of the rotor and stator can make the sound vary.
@@vantaaax ok makes sense
@@GrantP-y1g1000T happy to help
What crossing is this?
Great video. I subscribed to your channel as well!
If you want real power, get a steam engine!
It uses a Verdin Sonata Carillon.
Nice video, great landing! This is a Stinson 108 Voyager ua-cam.com/video/X1rm6E34heA/v-deo.html.
The Alco identfies as an EMD SD40-2!
Continued , this would probably have disappeared from shot ( in the wrong direction ) .
Shunting your mom. 😂
You can hear the brakes dragging
Excellent video, subbed!
@@joeystrains.9316 thanks man I appreciate that
Love the sound of the Alco's
I love my alcos, and swithers and slug units
*ALCO has SOOT!* (awesome!)
cool! i might record this sometime in the future!
I smell hot traction motors.
Amazing how cars don't move when you forget to untie ALL of the brakes on the cars!
How do you start a train? One car at a time. Stopping is sometimes important, when spotting cars as well. I was taught that principal, by a Locomotive Engineer who once had a seat, on the Right side of the Cab, on the Empire Builder for a while before the end..... You are correct about sticky brakes.....
Nice smoke
That’s me trying to wake up in the morning…
Alco: "I think I can! I think I can! I think I can! I think I....need a little help!"
hey at 8:50,i know we have met before you might remember me!
hey is this in bativa Ny and i think if seen you before in real life
That is correct
We didn't have 5,4,3,2,1 on the SCL
@@Peter-mt6lg what kind of system would you guys use on the scl? Hand signals??
What ya have all hard couplings ?
He must’ve thought it was an SW1000 😆
That Alco might have more guts than the SW .
@@user-mr3ct1dm9pit does
@@user-mr3ct1dm9p I would rather have an EMD switcher. Easier to maintain. Great units. But I've run those Alco switchers in the past and they often do have more 'guts'.
All on a crossing too. Let’s see how much damage we can cause to rolling stock.🙄

That is a Stinson reliant
Release all the wagon handbrakes dumbo, give that poor Chopper her chance ,she is busting a gut to move the damn train.
sounds like the brakes are on
Releasing the hand brakes might help, yes? 😮
Hi,,,,,,,,Your channel contents are very good. But due to some problems in your channel you are not getting views, audience accordingly. For this you need to optimize your channel well. Are you interested in optimizing your channel?
That train rumbles like the thunder and i really like the noise of it. And also with headphones.
Excellent Video Mate 😎
Glad you enjoyed it
Oh! They took out the crossover at Canalside! that used to be the best part when i was little!
At 5:20 an outbound train passes by
Is this a test ride for a new operator or did you just edit out the time spent at the stations?
Edited out time at the stations
Thanks for watching
Yeah they have been passing underground lately and running a shuttle train above ground due to construction on one of the 2 tracks up above
He's trying to shove against brakes. The first few cars are released and are rolling freely, but when he tries to shove, you can hear the squealing brakes on cars further back. Shoving on brakes is against the rules, at least on Class 1 lines, and is a good way to find yourself derailing cars, pissing in a cup, and standing before The Man.
Pee cup tradition. I sense a Hyce fan
This isn't a class 1 mate
@@pootispiker2866 It doesn't matter. The point is that the video suggests the load is too much for the locomotive. It isn't. The locomotive can't pull the cars because the handbrakes are applied or the air isn't cut in. The trainman is breaking rules and cutting corners.
The wheels can squeal on curves and through junctions, the movement you see is the slack in the couplings
I'm a retired switchman/conductor and @DetroitDiesel671 is right on with his explanation. You can hear the brakes on a string of cars farther back out of sight.
The people on the radio are happy and having fun
You got that right
Awesome!
Thanks!
Thats the coolest WS-1000 ive seen!
Glad you like it
Love the black horns
Not heavy enough!!
no, kicking cars
C’mon, little fella! ❤
