Welcome to excess Bob tv. Here you'll find more assorted and miscellaneous adventures in music and merry-making than you will ever need by various and nefarious Bands of Bob's - with Bob Gilbert on drums and percussion. This channel serves to gather and display recorded performances from Bob's past for future amusement and horror without having to hunt them down again. That would be too much. Thank you. - mgmt
Highway Man, Daniel Eriksen & the Blue Devils, Augustibluus Festival, Haapsalu, Estonia 2002
A blues boogaloo for road warriors like us. On this tour we traveled across Estonia, Finland and Sweden for 17 gigs in 19 days in one van- until it blew the head gasket, then we borrowed a mule and a wagon and never missed a gig while a new engine for the van was found and fitted. Daniel Eriksen, slide guitar, truth and justice. Hooter Saslaff, bass, maps, keys to the van and contacts to keep the show on the road. Bob Gilbert, drums, snacks, minidisc recording and video flashback. There are no photos of us from our concert in Haapsalu. Photos used in this video are from our gig in Stockholm, Sweden.

Gunnar joined us on stage with his harmonica and we did jam a boogie. The crowd did, too. Shame you can't hear the crowd from the board mix. Pictures of us are from a gig at Stampen in Stockholm. I can't find my pictures from this festival or of this tour; 17 gigs in 19 days, through Estonia, Finland and Sweden, July-August 2002.

I got a belly full of you and that Leavenworth stuff Now I'm gonna get out and I'm gonna get tough You've been lying to me, how could you crawl so low? With some gin-soaked boy that you don't know I come home last night full a fifth of Old Crow You said you goin' to your Ma's, but where the hell did you go? You went and slipped out nights, you didn't think that I'd know With some gin-soaked boy...

Amazing rendition of a great song! Brilliant performance❤❤❤
Nicely Done 😂
Thanks for posting this video !! I LOVE this song !! This band did a SPOT-ON version. Only wished the Sherbs had made a video of this song.
Great cover of a great song!
Any more videos of this band doing Sherbet/Sherbs covers?
Big fan of The Sherbs and still listen to them. This is awesome. Thank you
this is lame . watch the original by The Tubes and their other stuff from 1973 to around 1983
Really nice job! I always loved this song and saw a band in STL play it back in around 1980-1981. I have looked for a live version for a long time. Glad you got it converted to digital. Tape didn't sound like it had too much life left.
Fucking incredible.
Hat's off guys - nice job. Sherbet/Sherbs should have been as big as any of the Australian bands that followed and conquered !
wow!
awesome 1979 what a great year! Cobham Van Cobham. Also like Bob's drum set up!
T Lavitz - virtuoso maestro
thanks for sharing this ! I really really love this song
They sound just like the real thing.
That drummer has a hot foot!
BEST cover band in Cincinnati EVER!...I saw them all!!!
Thanks James!
Best band in Cincinnati period!!..Up w randy and chris jolly!!!
Sounds pretty good. Video production was not my favorite tho. More cameras!
Beautiful !
You guys are great. Cheers
Thanks Jeff!
A fine job covering a timeless classic.
Thanks John!
Carol Shane, the female vocalist, was my mother. They won three weeks in a row. Do you have the other two shows by any chance?
Hi Dave, My Dad just had the one reel of this show. I think he got a hold of it from CBS when he worked at McCann-Erickson in NYC, writing "Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?" jingles and copywriting. They had a great combo. Great to see them all so happy and smiling. Great memory. I hope you and yours are all well and good. Really, Bob Gilbert
I recognize Bill Cullen as the bass player but the guy next to him looks awfully familiar, too??
Excellent job guys sounded great! I really enjoyed this and saw many faces I remember (they say that's the last thing to go) -Hank
Thanks Hank! Glad you enjoyed it!
