Good one! Sound reasoning in all accounts. I also like the orthodox angle of Ps 24 referring to the harrowing of hades too, with v7 and v9 Hebrew having some nuance that suggests v7 is an entrance of and v9 is a triumphant exit (or as Paul would say, leading captivity captive)

Hmm, the sojourning component makes me think of 1 Peter and how 1:1-3 and 2:5-10 really connect both with Abraham and Israel/exodus and David (sojourns in exile from Saul). It would make sense that this psalm is trying to connect David. Now I want to see what the LXX does with this subscript 🤔🤔

You are wrong about Melchizedek. The bible was meant to be read together not atomized. You want to maintain historical contextualization as if the bible is another text, its not. You refuse to allow, by method, other biblical texts to speak authoritatively about your text. You do not follow the analogy of faith, so, you may be brilliant but wrong.

Thank you for an excellent analysis. How did you conclude that the word "anger" does not mean an emotional state? SDHB defines it as "a state of extreme displeasure" and Exodus 3:14 says that God's anger burnt at Moses in response to Moses saying "send someone else". In that context, God's anger cannot mean anything else than an emotional state, since he pronounced no judgement on Moses and did not destroy him, but provided an alternative. On a more technical note, future videos will sound better when the microphone is a bit further away from the mouth. The mouth clicks are too pronounced and distract from the content a bit. The verse markers in the video are confusing. The psalm has 8 verses but it looks like from the graphic that there are 9. I understand that the first section is a discussion of the background but it might help if it was labeled differently. Otherwise it is really great work. Love it!

Curious if the Cambridge is the same where I spotted a short article detailing (parenthesis) in scripture. The writer states they are when the translator discovers a thought within a thought. To help folks understand. Personally..... that's a bit of a work around for Deu 4:2, Deu 12:32 and is adding to the word. I'm certain it is done with good intentions.... The road to hell is paved with good intentions.....just sayin... May we all be blessed with eyes that see, ears that hear, and hearts that understand.
