I remember riding D40LF 0665 on 91 in early August 2023. You heard route 66 now officially makes drop offs at Harvard Upper Busway. No more XN40'S on 66, and will eventually be a North Cambridge Route, with XE40 4200 recently delivered

With Nafis having an update. Someone has spotted XE40 4200, I think it may be at North Cambridge Carhouse. Also all 155 New Flyer D40LF's are getting junked in 2025. With the XE40 order from 80 buss to now being 120 buss. 32 for North Cambridge and 88 for Quincy. The Federal Transit Administration may grant additional $2 million to increase the order to 160 XE40'S, so they can permanently junk the D40LF's. Also if the first ten are fully tested, the order may be quick and finished by April of 2025.

D40LF 0887 was originally a Lynn D40LF

Apparently D40LF 0901 got transfered from Everett Yard back to Fellsway Garage which was on Winter Contingency. D40LF 0900 is still on Winter Contingency and has seen running on 39. Everett Still has couple 2008 D40LF's Stored. Neoplan 1120 got broke and the bumper got split off, currently at Everett. Neoplan 0450 & 0451 are currently unseen and definitely not at Charlestown. D40LF 0613 and 0651 are also not seen

Apparently there is still a couple buss left at Winter Contingency, I rode D40LF 0900 on 39 today.

I checked Everett Yard and the 21 Winter Contingency 2008 New Flyer D40LF's are at Everett Yard stored. Also Neoplan 1120 is at Everett. XDE40 3222 and D40LF 0762 is at Everett. DE60LFR 1207 is also at Everett. Also I saw XDE40 3200 on 66 at Harvard Ave on Saturday of April 27.

If Quincy Garage gets rebuilted, that means the 3200s will shift into Quincy and the 2008s will be shifted into Albany

The T is constructing a new garage which will replace Diesel Fellsway Garage in 2029. The T is building Wellington Electric Battery Bus Garage next to the Orange Line Yard. They will construct the bus warehouse building next to the Orange Line Yard, and buss can be parked for layover at the parking lot at Wellington. 3214 was brought to Wellington for parking practice.

When was your last 2006 ride? Mines was March 1, 2024 on 430 Inbound to Malden from Saugus around 7 PM. 3 days before 0610 made final trip on 95 at 1:45 PM Outbound to West Medford on March 4, 2024. 0651 is the one being preserved to Museum. 0711 is gonna be repurposed to something else.

Some very unfortunate news. The T has rewarded Costello Dismantling to Scrap Hawker Siddeleys 01200s. On Monday 01292/01293 got removed for Scrap.

D40LF 0610 is the very very very last 2006 New Flyer in Service. This Friday may be the last day of 2006 New Flyer D40LF's. 0608 0616 0640 have been Decommisioned. 0651 got added on At Everett Not Yet Decommisioned List, so it will be preserved.

The T just awared Costello Dismantling to Scrap the 01500s, 01600s, 01700, 01800s stored Decommisioned cars they may end up scrapping 1963 Pullman 01469 01470 01477 01480 so basically 2 of the 01500s will be scrapped, 12 of the 01600s will be scrapped, 2 of the 01700s will be scrapped, and 2 of the 01800s will be scrapped this month.

The T updated NE Transit. Only 1 2006 D40LF is left in Service. Which is 0610. Also 0651 is being preserved and added on At Everett Not Yet Decommisioned

Pantograph says that D40LF 0610 was active late night and made trips on 89 and 96 at 1:20 ,AM March 2nd 2024

I guess the oldest fleet is the 2008 New Flyer D40LF's can't you believe it.

I also rode 0696 on 91 two months ago. 0696 is Scrapped. I see absolutely no 2006 D40LF's active at all. This might bring to the fact they have all been officially retired and awaiting for Scrap

The 2006 New Flyer D40LF's have all just been retired and 0 are active. Some more 1400s from Lynn has replaced the remaining 5 in service. Last run was 0616 on 101. Rest In Piece 2006-2024.
