all for one was the best
this was a really good episode
@Dove-gx5gz "Echoes Of The Mind" Parts 1 & 2 with guest star Sharon Stone was well done- you have to watch it twice.
I love the sound of the tomcat engines !!!!
The whole time they say it's not as low as it looks.. then they explain it was 100' - which means it was probably a lot less. And for reference, that's about the distance from home plate to first base
That was one of my favorite episodes. William Lucking's portrayal of Sam Hunter was brilliant. The original Magnum PI series had some really good guest appearances but weak screenplays couldn't save it. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. They couldn't have had much of a budget to work with because they used all the same outdoor scenes and sound stage indoor scenes from "Hawaii 50".
Time has little to do with infinity and jelly donuts

Tomcat doing what the tomcat does.
Not the scene from top gun
Amazing looking aircraft !,
I've got freestanding model of Fox's Tomcat, #202, sitting right here above my desk. My father and I were both made honorary members of VF84 while working on the film at NAS Key West.
Thats pretty cool! Was there talk about this scene during your time on the set?
Termites hold hands!
Death and Taxes is my fav one, I don't know, maybe it's because it felt like Miami Vice. But I loved it and I think of it everytime I hear Mama
LOL!!!
A Tomcat going vertical with its wings out just screams WITNESS ME
Soon Tek Oh is also in this episode.
Just seeing this clip made my day! I'm going to bed now! Good night everyone!
Bill Lucking played bubba in an episode, which made him one of my favorite Character actors! "You guys are hold up in a Khyber Temple!"
I love the F-14 hate when they retired it it’s one of the GREATEST ! Like the F-4 Phantom II , another jet that outclasses the F-18
106' wingspan?
Nice
Not just you. I was looking for scenes from this particular episode when I found this video. I never forgot watching this particular episode when I was a kid. Thanks for the flashback!
Anyone else thinking of top gun while watching this
So-So-Sweet
got tears in my eyes
❤
man you have the best historical footage of these
incredible
I love your commentary, there's no way I would know any of this information
Thanks!
VMFA-251 with Navy on the on it, that’s not right.
Bogus. The critical part of a SHB is from the break to the groove and we didn't see it. Those landings could have been standard CASE1s (and 2 wires too).
That is clearly a SHB, it is called the SH "Break" because the break is what makes it SH, not the 180. The 180 to the 90 was edited out because these was nothing to see there.
Looks like swamp gas 26:50 Sun raises from the east..
endangered animal
thanks miss The Cat
Grossly underestimated aircraft.
Is it true that inverted, 10sec in AB, 20sec in MIL?
Straight out of F-14B NATOPS with the GE engines; During afterburner operations: a. Sustained 0 to - 0.5g flight. b. Flight from - 0.5g to - 2.4g’s for more than 10 seconds. At MIL power or less, zero or negative-g flight for more than 20 seconds. I am not sure what the F-14A NATOPS says with the PW engines
@AirTales Awesome channel, the B-D was where is at!
I had my reservations, but that was good.
The afterburners are the music
What’s the second best episode of Magnum all time?
This is a scary one
My dad joined the Army Air corps in January 1941 and Island hopped the South Pacific until August 1945. He continued to serve an additional 20 years in the Air Force. Pray for our Air Force (and ALL our brave service man) and the families who wait for their safe return 🇺🇲
I can remember on the loud speaker....." tomcat 3 miles...few seconds later.." tomcat 2 miles..... tomcat 1 mile.....then passes by no sound for about 2 seconds. Then the boom and jet engines sound....then on post flight inspection I would find 6g on G meter. Reset it. ..... these were the good ole days...
Hurry up and wait, I was in 8 years , Miss the fuck out of working on the flight deck.
Abs fantastic
Doesn't really need an explanation.
Yes!
Those guys love their hot rods
....the mountains of Waco.... 🤣🤣🤣
Keep then coming AT
So does that mean this film didn't use practical effects, like miniature planes on a "green screen" kind of thing? Sorry, I'm using Google Translate
The only special effects of airplanes that was used was the few models of Japanese Zeros that blew up when they were shot down by the F-14's. All the F-14 footage was the real plane.
