Man, this video gave me warm feelings haha. I still have my Louis notebook and tell myself I'm going to try and refill it and have been saying it since middle school. I had a Calum Hood tattoo sweatshirt from Fresh Tops and wore it to my Christian private school. And I bought an American flag onesie…not a lot of people understood. And man I dressed like Louis for 3 years of my life…suspenders and all. And had to look like the girlfriends. Kohl’s and Clairs made a lot of money from my grandpa!

Curious about why you chose to look at only Whimsical + Goth as opposed to its original naming of "Whimsical Mystical Gothic Celestial”. Granted, whimsical and Gothic are probably the main components of the aesthetic.

Loved this style my whole life - as someone who wore this style often in the late 90s and early 2000s, a lot of folks just thought of this as "romantic" goth as opposed to early cyber/industrial goths, punks, emos, and the other aesthetics. I shopped a lot at Store of Knowledge and World Market for decor at that time. They were some of the only places that had astrology and celestial styled items.

I love the urban grungy-ness of Ultraviolence. She had never worn such casual clothing (ripped jeans, t-shirts, flat shoes) for an album aesthetic before, and she also didnt use hair extensions for it. It made her look more relatable but still untouchable at the same time because she was still with the same graceful dreamy aura.
