Thermal Scope

Out with the pup and took my thermal Hikmicro LH19 2.0 scope just for a bit of practice cant fault this thermal camera picked up a fox x2 woodcock and some roe deer and tracked them using the hot tracking setting think this is going to be a big game changer for my wildlife photography

Well after a long 3.5 hour drive to a remote Scottish loch in search of the RARE !! Slavonian Grebe we arrived at the remote Loch and to our surprise they were located close to the hide these small birds are very rare in the UK with only around 20 breeding pairs in Scotland in 2021 we only had a brief encounter due to the strong winds that we had but it was worth the time and effort get to this...

Back to my Highland Buzzard Hide Both the Buzzards were looking good prior to the breeding season I was only in the hide for a half hour when they arrived and quickly came down always the female first and she dominated the roadkill as she will be feeding up for the long nesting season but male buzzard was close by all the time and on the lookout very windy weekend so sorry for the wind noise ho...

Decided to take another trip up to my highland buzzard hide after a few odd jobs at the holiday home it was off up to the hide to prepare for a long and windy cession well wasn't disappointed both buzzards were very active and the female buzzard looked as if she was feeding up for the coming breading season she almost devoured a pheasant by herself with number of visits during the day poor male...

Now that the Christmas holidays are now over I decided to take the 3 hour journey up to my holiday home up in the highlands and check on my holiday home and buzzard hide thankfully after storm Agnes and the snow storms all was well so a day in rather wintery weather in my buzzard hide the resident female buzzard came in for her food I was glade to see she's looking good and managed some footage...

Back up at my Highland Hide had to wait 5 hours for this guy to come in and feed hence the lowlight this particular bird is very switched on and wont come in until he's satisfied am not around so patience is a must but worth it in the end Thanks for watching
