I saw them on that tour Manson with Hole, and Monster Magnet. The first two were awful. Courtney was on stage here in the Seattle area making a fool of herself repeatedly and shouting "Grunge is dead" at someone in the audience who was wearing a plaid long sleeve button up. All I could think was yeah coz YOU KILLED it having your husband murdered because he was going to divorce you evil B**** with a CAPITAL "C"***. It was terrible having to endure her crap. I left the floor and went and walked around the halls and bought and insane amount of Manson merch. Though when Manson took the stage I managed to get mid front 3 standing rows. During his Bible destruction and tossing it into the audience I nearly was taken out as all the vultures went for scraps of it when it almost hit me in the Head! During the performance of 'The Speed of Pain' it was so touching I was moved to tears as fake snow fell on us. I believe that was my 3rd maybe 4th Manson concert. (I've seen them 8 times live.) The year I went to Ozzfest to see them specifically I wore a very risqué ode to Manson on the MTV movie awards where the nude butt cheeks were fully on display. This was back in 2000 or 2001 and my booty was in porn star shape. I wore this outfit with its badass details of a Muppet fur collar, pleather, red & black furry leopard print and fishnet & pleather detail over the breasts it was cut like a swimsuit. I wanted to display the massive portrait of Manson I got tattooed in 2000 filing the majority of my left thigh. It's the art of him missing his lower jaw off the back cover of 'Holywood'. I also have art of him from Joachim Lutke's book 'Posthuman' it was inspired by a piece in the section of his book labeled 'The Manson Files'. That day WAS CRAZY. I felt like I had paparazzi. From the beginning of the day till laying down at my campsite I was photographed LITERALLY EVERY 2 SECONDS. I let respectful encountered people who asked first get a good swat on my bottom. I think I had hand prints from all the slaps that day lol. A tattoo artist working a booth at Ozzfest filmed video of me and got detailed shots of my Manson tattoos that he claimed he was going to share with Manson as he claimed he would be tattooing him that week and thought he'd get a kick out of my ink. I'd like to think there's a high possibility Manson got to see my tats and the outfit he also inspired. That would just be too effing amazing. I got to shake his hand in 1997 or 1998 and get him to autograph my copy of 'The Long Hard Road Out of Hell'. Security forbid me from giving him the art I spent a week drawing in pencil of a collage of him that hung in an art gallery in Everett, WA for a month disturbing people that had PORTRAIT OF AN ANTICHRIST written on the bottom section of the piece though I actually titled it 'Wrapped in Plastic' as it was all sealed in plastic wrap. I am very proud of it and I still have it, but I wish I could've given it to him. He's influenced my life very similar to how the young man in this video described Manson's influence on him. I was also the local "go to" person to clarify anything having to do with Manson. I deflected a lot of the insane and stupid rumors that were being spread about him in that era. I was very much his cheerleader & personality defender in this area. I'm still a huge supporter and defender of his true self. I have some Manson cover songs on my page.
