Ford Transit Custom Camper Build Timelapse
In 2019 I got asked to turn a Ford Transit Custom into a camper, I had a full time job at the time so this was completed during evenings and weekends.
Duel leisure batteries, Solar panels, an induction hob, pressure activated tap. fold out bed and a ton of storage.

Looks great! We're looking at converting a Transit Custom. Hadn't thought about having it all electric with an induction hob. Is yours a SWB or LWB model?
SWB by the looks of it. Has a load length of about 8 foot 3 inches and width of about 5 foot 8 inches.

Hello, what fan did you install on the roof and what dimension solar panels did you get? Watching this has made me start again as you’ve ticked so many boxes that annoy me with mine!
hello mate, how tall are you? I'm 6'2 just wondering if there's any head room at all
Hey buddy, I'm also 6ft 2, could only stand up fully in the sky light unfortunately, I believe the overall height of a h2 is just under 1.8m so 5ft10ish. It didn't feel uncomfortable whilst I was in there, I mean most the time you're either sitting down or bending over a sink or cooker as there's not loads of space to walk around in there anyway ha. I suppose what I'm trying to get at is that it wasn't uncomfortable for me.
What cooking field did you use? It is all that stuff running with electricity? Did it takes long to heat up a bowl of water?
Hey buddy, it was just a standard induction hob I Installed, so would heat up water at the same rate any 240v induction hob would. It was powered from two leisure batteries that were charged by both solar power and a split charge relay (basically charged by the van when being driven)
