    We have free will. If you can choose Christ, and put your faith in Him, we can also choose to walk away. Thats Biblical. It is warned against throughout the Bible, to say otherwise is ignorant and blasphemous.

    How To Be Simply Saved. 1. The bad News. We are sinners. (Romans 3:23.) We deserve to be punished in hell for our sins. 2. The Good News. Jesus Christ who is God's Son died on the cross for all of your sins. He was buried & rose again to give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 6:23.) 3. How am I saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31.) 4. Once saved, always saved. Jesus said in John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. Do you believe that you are saved by grace and promised heaven because Jesus died for you? Yes_ No_

    I guess if you are a Calvinist you can say this, but why lie and tell people they are saved? How do you know you are one of the elect, and not elected like Judas to eternal damnation. How can you say John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who disobeys the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him. The opposite of not believing is disobeying. How can you tell your wife you are faithful and sleep around . How can you say you love God and don’t keep his commandments.

    All the counterfeit, fake, religious versions of Christianity makes the born again life ambiguous or seemingly impossible. 25 years later and I have never thought that my salvation was lost. There is too much to do in a life of obedience. Being consumed by the God, who is a consuming fire...those thoughts are derived from those living less than that in my opinion.

    If you have a RELATIONSHIP with Christ and also think that you should teach anyone that Jesus will be faithful when you reject the relationship then how arrogant for you to take Him for granted. No the Lord does t require perfection. Just what he said: Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart and mind and soul. Just like he did at the Cross. Be willing to sacrifice for that is what love is. Be Catholic to learn the fullness of the Faith.

    • @cat_with_a_book
      @cat_with_a_book 23 дні тому

      You're misinterpreting them. If you can lose your salvation that means that Jesus failed to keep the will of God the Father in John 6:39. Also, Jesus said in John 6:37 that Jesus will in no wise cast out the believer (no wise means not for any reason). Also, the Bible says in 1 John 5:10-11 that you have to believe the record that God gave of his Son. The record is eternal life for the believer received simply by believing. If you lose your eternal life that means God is a liar. The Bible literally says that if you deny the record of eternal life you do not believe and that you are making God a liar. Additionally, if you can lose your salvation, that means it is up to you to keep your salvation based on your own actions, your own performance, your own works, and the Bible is clear that you are saved not by works of righteousness which you have done, but it is by God's mercy and grace that you are able to become the heir according to the hope of eternal life which is what it says in Titus 3:5-7. John 5:24 says that the believer shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life, and in Romans 4:5-6 it says that the believer who works not but believes has their faith counted for righteousness and that God imputes righteousness without works. Then in Romans 4:7-8 it explains that the all iniquities are forgiven (past tense), all sins are covered (present tense), and that the Lord will not impute sin unto the believer (future tense). That covers all sins be it past, present, and future, including the sin of not doing good works thereafter you are saved (because James 4:17 says it is sin to not do good). Additionally, the Bible then says in Hebrews 10:10 that the believer is sanctified once for all by the one-time sacrifice of Jesus, and in Hebrews 10:14 it says that the believer is sanctified for ever, and in Hebrews 10:17 it says that God will no more even remember their sins because in Hebrews 10:18 it says where remission of sins is there is no more offering for sin (because Christ died once to atone for all sins, period). And how do you receive remission of sins? Acts 10:43 says that you receive the remission of sins by believing in Christ which is what all the prophets give witness to. So how can you lose your salvation, the free gift of everlasting life that can never end, when Jesus promised eternal life and said that he would never leave you nor forsake you, and said that he would in no wise cast you out, and the Bible says that all sins are remitted and forgiven? It makes no sense, my friend. The same chapter of Romans 4 explains what you must believe in order to be saved. It isn't that you have to vaguely believe that God exists and his name might be Jesus. The Bible explains it when it explains the faith of Abraham in Romans 4:3 in verses Romans 4:20-25. You have to be fully persuaded that what God has promised he is also able to perform. He promised eternal life if you simply believe by faith alone and if you trust in that promise by believing in Christ alone for your salvation you will be saved. This isn't a game of semantics and you can't be cute with God by saying "Well, I believe in God too" because you do not believe the record that God gave of the Son. You are calling God a liar by denying the free gift of eternal life in accordance with 1 John 5:10-11. You are not saved unless you believe in the promise of eternal life to the believer. You are also not saved if you think that you have to work to maintain or prove your salvation. Your own works play no part in getting saved, being saved, or staying saved in accordance with Roman 4:5-8 and Titus 3:5-7. Romans 3:19-28 and Galatians 3:21-26 are crystal clear that adherence to the law can never save you, neither can the works of the law, neither can obeying the commandments. The purpose of the law is to condemn you and make you guilty so that you can then be justified by faith because as Galatians 3:21 says the law cannot give life. Galatians 2:16 and Galatians 2:21 are both clear that salvation is by faith alone without works otherwise Christ is dead in vain. You cannot mix grace with works. Romans 11:6 states that if it be of grace then it is no more work otherwise grace is no more grace, and if it be of work then is it no more grace otherwise work is no more work. Either you are saved by the free gift of God's grace which is everlasting life or you're saved by working for it and earning it through yourself and your own efforts and Ephesians 2:8-9 is clear that you are not saved of yourselves (not you and your ability to be a good person, not based on your performance of living a good life, not based on your efforts and your good deeds) but you are saved by grace through faith, not of works, lest any man should boast. The Bible is very clear that the one thing you must do to be saved is to believe on Jesus alone for salvation. It isn't complicated and it isn't difficult. God made it as easy as possible. It is man's pride and man's boasting that prevents them from freely accepting the gift of salvation because they want to work their way to heaven and they can't accept that salvation truly is that easy so they transgress Galatians 5:4 by thinking they must keep the law and thereby they do not trust in the Lord but in themselves. Because if you are trusting in the law or trying to mix grace with works to be saved you are not trusting in the Lord which is why the verse says Christ is of no effect unto you whosoever of you are justified by the law. The law is good and we consent that it is good. We should live good lives and obey the commandments, teaching everyone to observe all things, yes, we shouldn't sin. We should do good works. We should do many things that the Lord has commanded us because he has prepared many works for his children. But it simply doesn't have any basis in our salvation. Even if a saved believer never works a single day in their life, it would be shameful and that child of God would be chastened and punished in accordance with Hebrews 12:5-8, but as long as they trust in the Lord who justifies the ungodly (that is you, me, and them) then they will be saved without works exactly as Romans 4:5-8 and several other verses in the scripture says. Even if they have no works because all their wood, hay, and stubble they built is burned up they themselves shall be saved yet so as by fire as 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 says because they will still have the foundation which is Christ.

      Well, let's see what the Bible says in the context of eternal life and salvation. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says that God is not the author of confusion. Let's look at some clear verses teaching the one thing you have to do to be saved. Keep in mind the context of the verses and pay very close attention to the words "not of works," "faith," "believe/belief/believeth," "everlasting life," "eternal life." Before getting into the verses, if it helps you understand the KJV easier, replace the -th in words with an s. For example, "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness" = "But to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Pretty easy, right? Here are verses about the one thing you must do to receive eternal life and receive everlasting life. It isn't complicated or confusing. Romans 4:5-6: But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works. Acts 10:43: To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Acts 16:30-31: And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Galatians 2:16: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:21: I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 6:35: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:40: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:47: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 8:24: I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 10:26-30: But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. John 11:25-26: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 20:30-31: And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these ARE written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. The book of John was written with the express purpose to get someone saved and it repeats 101 times to believe on Jesus. Not one single time does it tell you to repent of your sins in order to be saved. The gospel of John doesn't even use the word "repent" a single time. Because the one thing you must do to be saved is to believe in Christ alone for salvation. Not yourself and your own ability to maintain or retroactively perform good works. The question is flat out asked "What must I do to be saved?" in Acts 16:30-31 which I also quoted above, and the answer is simply to believe. All of these verses that I've quoted to you are in context of being saved or receiving eternal life and getting everlasting life. Notice next time someone wants to twist a scripture out of context that it almost never is in context of salvation or receiving eternal life. For example, Jesus saying to the woman caught in adultery to go and sin no more was a statement made to 1 specific individual (her) and no verses anywhere in that passage say anything about receiving eternal life or being saved. Jesus said to be perfect even as God is perfect, but that wasn't a statement made in context of being saved, neither did he say this is how you will receive eternal life. Even with James 2 where people will misquote "faith without works is dead" nothing in that entire chapter is in context of being saved from hell, staying saved, or going to heaven but the actual context of that chapter is telling you to do works to benefit and profit your fellow man (if you want, I can also explain James 2 and show how dead faith is saving faith by Biblical definition). The Bible has plenty of teachings in it. Of course the Bible will say to not sin and to do good works. We should expect the Bible to say to do good and clean up your life. But it isn't involved in salvation and is never in context of being saved, staying saved, or proving that you are saved. Good works are good and profitable for man as Titus 3:8 says but read the verses before it in Titus 3:5-7 and it's clear that we are not saved by works of righteousness which we have done but according to God's mercy and are justified by grace to become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:8: This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. The hope of eternal life is referring to the promise of God. And what is the promise? Let us see. 1 John 5:10-11: He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 2:25: And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. Titus 1:2: In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; The promise of God is eternal life received simply by believing in Christ alone for salvation. Eternal life is life that never ends. You cannot lose your salvation. If eternal life ends in 10 minutes, 10 hours, 10 months, 10 years, 10 decades, 10 centuries, or 10 millennia then God is a liar. The record that God gave of his Son is eternal life which is everlasting life. God is not a liar and the promise of God will not be broken which is why Jesus plainly says you receive eternal life by believing in him. John 6:37: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. If I am making sense to you, let me know and I will gladly continue.

If we repent and turn to Him we can receive this beautiful gift once again. The devil often lies and says you have gone too far. God will never love you again. I am reminded of the prodigal son who came home. I do believe that you have been misinformed. I don't think that just by believing that Christ died for our sins that's our Gateway into heaven. I do believe that we actually have to stop doing what is considered sinful acts according to the Old Testament and the 10 Commandments, we are supposed to actively not do what is commanded for us to not do. I don't think we can walk around and commit all of these abominations and atrocious acts and just get into heaven just like that. I don't believe it and I'll show you why.⬇️ 🌹6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:6-8 KJV 📖 ✨ Throughout the entire Bible it speaks of how much God loves us and wants us to turn away from sin and return to him. Jesus continually in the New Testament tells sinners to go forth and to stop sinning, meaning repent. ⬇️ 🌹And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:31-32 KJV 📖 🌹9.The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 KJV 📖 ✨I hope this helps. Let GOD lead you. ❤ In Jesus name Amen 🙏🏼💜📖

    The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you but if you forsake Him He will forsake you. 2Chronicles 15:2. So of course you can lose your salvation. You can’t just be saved and then be living like the devil sinning and what not. You’ll be sending yourself to hell. Come on.

    Hebrews 10:26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. And this was written to Christians. It’s hard to be saved if there’s not a sacrifice for your sins.

    John 14:1-3 Jesus says he is coming again. Ephesians 5 :27. God says he wants his church to be a glorious church , not having spot or wrinkle , or any such thing : but it should be holy and without blemish.. God has given us a guideline to follow aka His law.. He wants us all to be AQUAINTED WITH IT. See Ecclesiastes 12:13,14.. God 's guideline aka his law .... is PERFECT PURE HOLY JUST AND GOOD . . Since God seventh day weekly sabbath is a part of God's law then it is PERFECT , PURE, HOLY JUST AND GOOD . See Psalms 19 7, 8 Romans 7:12. Exodus 20:8-11 Ezekiel 22:26 Voddie has been blantantly misleading the masses .... a short cut to hell.

    You can lose your salvation! Look at Judas Iscariot, he was a disciple of Jesus and lost his salvation. The false doctrine of “once saved always saved” is responsible for deceiving multitudes of souls into eternal damnation. People believe that they can take drugs, drink alcohol, commit adultery and even suicide and go to heaven if they only believe in Jesus, but demons also believe in Jesus - don’t forget that! You are responsible for your actions in this life and can lose your salvation if you choose to follow your sinful desires.

    Your salvation doesn’t depend on you. If you are saved you are, you can’t lose it, can’t win it either. The Lord handpicked you. Or not.

    No the arrogance is saying that you can’t fall away despite there being several warnings in scripture that you can. The arrogance to say “there is nothing that can cause me to fall out of the way of truth!” Is what is sending many people to hell.

    Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end... ~ Hebrews 3:12--14

    Humans are free moral agents. We can choose to serve God and we can later (unadvisedly) choose not to serve him. Possibly, some might turn aside to the temptations or philosophies of the world. They may become apostate or give in to fear of man during the Tribulation. One doesn’t have to constantly fear losing their salvation every time they sin. God knows we are imperfect. As long as we keep trying, that is enough. It is kinda similar to marriage. We can have our ups and downs, but as long as we don’t get divorced we are still married. As long as we keep trying, we are still on the road to life. We are not there yet, but can still be on the road. Here are what some relevant scriptures say on whether it is possible for a dedicated servant of God to turn away from him and lose out on everlasting life. Matthew 24:13 the one who has endured to the end will be saved. Hebrews 3:12-14 Beware, brothers, for fear there should ever develop in any one of you a wicked heart lacking faith by drawing away from the living God; 13 but keep on encouraging one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you should become hardened by the deceptive power of sin. 14 For we actually become partakers of the Christ only if we hold firmly down to the end the confidence we had at the beginning. Hebrews 6:4-6 For as regards those who were once enlightened and who have tasted the heavenly free gift and who have become partakers of holy spirit 5 and who have tasted the fine word of God and powers of the coming system of things, 6 but have fallen away, it is impossible to revive them again to repentance, because they nail the Son of God to the stake again for themselves and expose him to public shame. Revelation 2:4-5 you have left the love you had at first. 5 “‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first. If you do not, I will come to you, and I will remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. 1 Corinthians 9:27 I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow. 2 Timothy 2:10-13 For this reason I go on enduring all things for the sake of the chosen ones, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is through Christ Jesus, along with everlasting glory. 11 This saying is trustworthy: Certainly if we died together, we will also live together; 12 if we go on enduring, we will also rule together as kings; if we deny, he will also deny us; 13 if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. Matthew 10:33 whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens. www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/once-saved-always-saved/

    Is it arrogant to take the warnings in Hebrews 3, 6, and 10 seriously? What about Romans 11? I guess all of the scriptures that tell us that we have to hold fast to the faith don’t mean what they say. Instead of addressing the fact that faith is not a work and therefore holding onto the faith in order to be saved is not a work, we should just classify everyone as arrogant who believes what the Bible says. I think people like Voddie are incredibly arrogant for believing that they can pick and choose which parts of God’s word to believe
