So there has been a lot of social media that the Saltee Islands might not be open to the general public next year, Conservationists say the Island is in a decline from humans, So we googled and it says the puffins leave mid August so we decided to make a trip over only to find the Puffins, Razorbill and Guillemot had all left almost 3 weeks ago, There was a huge colony of gannets so we made the...

@@adrian-l1r5e thanks 😊
Lovely shot at 6:34. Nice.
Hi Ken Great footage considering the rut wasn’t good !! Where I’m based the rut was the worst in my 30year of studies on red deer !! Reason as there was absolutely not one single acorn to be seen for the deer to feed on !! So the hinds went and feed on grass land fields !! So the hinds who are in charge of the rut , didn’t even get into forest 🌳!! So definitely there feed is more important than mating !! But obviously they do come into season! But stags have to stay in locations with them !! Hope that answers why the rut was so bad ! Seems to be the same with other contacts I have over the uk here !! Great channel just subscribed 👍
Thats very interesting! thanks for the explanation.
Thanks for info, I was thinking maybe I just had over anticipated what I would see, but it seems every where is the same

Hi Ken, it was such a pleasure meeting and speaking with you at Killarny National Park on Sunday. Thanks for heading us up to the highlands to see the action. Truly amazing sight. Loved the video. Since we won't be able to be here for the rut, we will be anxious to see your reports. Cheers from your friends from Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Thanks Mark , I'm going back down tomorrow if quit with the stag. I will go back down to the spot I met you and do some photos of the White throated Dipper, Maybe a video of him dance to bob Marley 😂
