I watched season 4 long time ago, so maybe I am wrong, but in every season, the atmospfere in upside down was toxic, hopper, and joyce had to wear a special masks to breath here, but in season 4, they can normally walk there, for a long time, and they feel great, no coughing or choking from toxic chemicals. I dont hate him for being annoying or clingy, i hate that he’s basically useless when it comes to helping Sonic on missions. And before you say that he was useful in the last season, thta doesnt count cause they already have a smart or intelligent player like Tails.

I’ve always saw Sonic and Tails friends but these two shows remind me that they’re more than partners, they’re brothers.

I think as this show goes on, it becomes more and more obvious that this show supposedly only being planned for 1 Season is the actual truth. Like don't get me wrong, but it's quite literally a show that gets worse and worse the longer it's drawn out. I think a part of the problem also is as kids some of the actors were good, but now they've grown up it's much easier to see and be honest about how bad of actors some of them are. lmao The villain is also ultimately... disappointing. A human being the villain means there needs to be well done setup, and what Henry is given simply is not enough. Since the video references Breaking Bad, look how long and detailed the build up to Walt becoming a villain is, and why that character is considered one of the best written ever. Now contrast that to Vecna where his villain origin story is literally explained in like 30 minutes. Him being a human there's some expectation to be complex as a human character. Whereas if they had kept the true villain this unknown entity it wouldn't seem as well... strangely paced, really.

It’s nice to see more Chris love and appreciation recently, especially with Discotek releasing the uncensored Sonic X series. Honestly, I like Chris and always have from the start. Maybe I’m a little bias because my name is also Chris and Sonic is my favorite character and series so I felt like I was going on adventures with him. That said I never had an issue with him and never really thought about him being rich. The mansion was helpful for Sonic and his friends to stay hidden at the start and a place to stay. And he acted reasonable as a kid. I know people love Helen more because she was “better”, but it’s more hate towards Chris mostly. A fictional child character. I do like that Chris and Helen are implied to be together to (English Dub only). Chris has always been kind and sweet, and while people complained he took scenes from Amy and Rouge with Shadow I felt like it worked as he was human and very similar to Maria. Everyone complains how is he lonely when he has friends like Danny, Helen, and Frances but it can’t fill the void of having no parents in his life. Like Naruto, he has friends but felt lonely most of the time. 4Kids removing scenes hurt the characters more and some translations change didn’t help, not just Chris. But losing his scenes made it harder for people to understand his character. Season 3 is where he peaked and I’m glad. I do wish we saw a video game version of him in the games. He’s popular with the Japanese fanbase and I never really interact with the Western Sonic fandom, but they’re nuts. Like the Sally and Amy fights like jeez… All in all I really like the character of Chris and hope to see more appreciation of his character in the future. He’s a great character like Cosmo from Sonic X, I’m surprised people hated Cosmo too… like what?

My problem with it is they completely ruined the mystery. Like Hawkins lab was the perfect catalyst and mysterious place to have all this scary stuff happen because it keeps it undercover, and unknown. A strange, unknown facility with god knows what inside. But in S4 the cheesy Scooby doo house doesn’t hold any mystery at all. You already know it’s scary, you already know there’s something inside. It’s the same fate every horror movie suffers from: KEEP THE HORROR MYSTERIOUS Vecna could’ve been so could, but they made him a Scooby doo swamp monster that no longer holds any horror or intimidation at all. It’s the reason every horror movie fails. Look at smile for example, smile (mostly) kept it mysterious and never gave the smile a voice except for the ending. KEEP IT THIS WAY!! The unknown is always scarier. Showing the true threat ruins your story and characters. I really hope they try to remedy this in season 5. No hate to the duffer brothers, they’re legends.

Feel like season 4 was good because of how bad season 3 was.

I always thought about how the deadly 6 could be changed. My initial thought for them originally came from the Japanese script for the game. There's a one offline saying that eggman actually revived the deadly 6 rather than in the English version where he said he honed in their abilities. I always figured that the horn sort of contained the original deadly six is souls and eggman used to Horn in order to resurrect them to do his bidding. I also figure kind of explore More of their backstory is like the city not really the biggest fan of the deadly six and imprison their souls in that horn to keep them under control. You can even go as far as to say personalities like zombies and Nina sore and Jazz's personalities could be a response to their personal experiences in the horn as well. At least that's my take

My biggest complaints about s4 are how stupid and one dimensionally written the jock dudes (Chrissy’s bf specifically) and the military were. Because why the f*** are you willing to kill off and murder innocent people because of PURE speculation???? Innocent until proven guilty thats there law but no they don’t wanna follow it. And why in the world did Chrissy’s bf just have this major switch up like I didn’t think he was too bad of a person and then after she died just BAM he becomes a psychopath, and the scence where we was using the Bible to his advantage was just so cliche and hard to watch because I know people do that but it’s so wrong and honestly hurts me as a christan. Also why was he willing to murder his friend because he thought highlight the world THOUGHT he did something. Like again what happen to innocent until proven guilty? And the police officers were NOT doing their job right because you do NOT name drop the suspect ever to the public or anyone until there is enough proof to do so. Eddie wasn’t perfect but he didn’t deserve what he went through.

I've always loved Chris as he truly is his own character that grows and matures. Kid is 12 years old and dealing with neglect and abandonment issues, so him clinging to Sonic makes a lot of sense when the blue blur opens up a lot of activity, attention, and interactions with more then just his maid and butler. And the fact that he has ONE maid and butler, and his grandpa and uncle who are just as absent as his own parents--parents who don't show up for 6 months at a time, even! I dunno, I just feel really bad for a kid and don't get why people hate on him so much. Though I will say, if Chris was a girl, I feel like the fanbase would have loved him a lot more, 'cause they tend to be very biased at times like this... XD

Sonic should be a flawed but static character. Have him be arrogant, kind and free spirited but have be serious and mean when he needs to be.

I personally don't mind Stranger Things having too many characters. Cobra Kai also has too many characters, and generally, nobody seems to have a problem with that. And just because they have too many characters doesn't mean writers have to go in-depth with every single one of them. Sometimes, side characters are just there to help the major characters. Besides, I don't think the Duffers intend to write characters with fleshed out writing and amazing arcs. Perhaps they focused more on the visual effects and aesthetics of the show (such as lighting, camera angles, and soundtracks). I love Stranger Things for the adventures, mystery, and 80s nostalgia. I guess this is why I didn't hate season 4 because I'm not really a judgmental person.

I really think they should have swapped hopper's story with season 4 and season 3, i mean his arc. Hopper has a great arc in s4 and better than s3, i mean he was such jerk in s3. I didnt eveb cried in s3 of hos death because I knew he is alive, why? Because his charachter arc isnt even completed.

Season 4 only doesn't beat Season 1, It's pretty good in my opinion. I just really hate Season 3 thats it.

Stranger Things 1 and 2 are just like completely different shows compared to 3 and 4. That mystery and grounded feel has been completely abandoned. Season 3 literally has secret Russian spies in a secret base under a mall. It’s like the show became a caricature of itself. Season 3 and 4 are like the Disney versions of stranger things . I’ll say that 4 is better than 3 but the amount of retcons that ruin the character arcs of the first two seasons leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It's good to see someone not hating on Chris. I always felt like the hate was just overdone and it's basically a bandwagon for "fans" to hang on to. I never had an issue with Chris. In fact, I actually sympathize with him even to this day. "Eugh! He's so annoying!" "What a Mary Sue!" "He has friends but doesn't acknowledge them and would rather *insert dreadful and very inappropriate profanity here* (yes, I have seen comments like that) with Sonic!" These comments drove up the wall. Like, what the heck is wrong with you guys (haters/ "fans")? He's a 12 year old kid who's lonely and unhappy. Just because he has friends (who he does care about) doesn't mean that they click with him in a way Sonic does. As for his obsession, I can relate to that too. Sonic is the type of friend that nearly EVERYONE would want. Especially at such a young age and that level of loneliness. Growing up being "spoiled" (distracted) and coddled and talked down on by those closest to me, Sonic was a major impact in my life. I would seek refuge in his presence just to forget that loneliness and pain that haunted me for years. But...like Chris, I had to let go eventually. After growing past 15, I got into Sonic less and less. I'm still a huge fan today but not as obsessed as I was younger. Sonic will always have a special place in my heart. And yes I am aware of my username; had this account since I was 13 and I refuse to give it up damnit! Anyways, thank you for making this. It makes me happy to see fans that do acknowledge the flaws but also acknowledge the positive aspects of the character.

I got super bored and started rewatching ST, including season 4 and it does slowly get worse. Season 4 is bad compared to the other ones but it is suuuuuuper fun to watch.
