Nebraska fumbled 5 times and were lucky to get three of them back. Great defense and mistake free football wins more games than not. Iowa plays ugly on offense but they do so little that they can’t mess up.

I would like to believe Rhule and the coaches care about Nebraska, but in today's world, coaches are mercenaries. They will jump ship the moment something better (in their minds pops up). Look at White and Knighton. Nebraska was just a stepping stone. There was no loyalty there. Those days are over.

The fans are NOT the reason why our team plays like this. This is just deflection from the real problems: poor coaching hires by Rhule (OC and Special Teams Coordinator), first year QB (Sims), poor game management, overall lack of player development, lack of fire and killer instinct, etc. The fans have zero responsibility for any of that. If they want fans support, start giving us something to cheer about. It's been almost TWO DECADES of poor football at the University of Nebraska.

This is complete BS. The only reason why this program has any chance of rebounding off of a decades worth of failure is because fans care. We are the only part of the program that hasn’t flatlined. You want fans to show up in droves, pay outrageous prices, plus contribute to NIL, but then you also want to mute them when the product on the field is unacceptable. Whatever man. That’s completely unrealistic. If you want better fan reactions, don’t hire a proven dud at OC. Don’t bring out of a 5 year retirement a horrible special teams coach. Fans have EVERY right to complain about this product. If you are happy with it & believe it takes 20 years to rebuild a program, good for you. Rhule is 0-3 vs first year coaches, and he has more resources to work with than any of them. It isn’t good enough and if people choose to call it out, they have every right to do so.

💯% my friend. Consistently negative really hurts the program. I know people won't be happy with any loss. Matt Rhule has a huge task in front of him. I see the culture turning, but it takes more than just a year to turn the culture into wins. Until I'm proven wrong, I feel Matt Rhule will make any change necessary to get wins. A lot of folks say Rhule has his buddies, but feel he will not allow any single one coach fail the program. Thanks for standing up to the fans that expect nothing short of 10+ wins a year. Our defense made key stops and our offense dominated time of possession with 35 minutes. THAT'S what gave us the chance to ein the game. Too bad the officiating was SOOO DAMN BAD (perhaps even corrupt - phantom pass interference and RIDICULOUS spots made a difference).

Nebraska did several things well, particularly on defense and in controlling the tempo. Huskers held Ohio State to 285 total yards of offense - that's a SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENT against a high-powered offense like Ohio State's.

I hate to break it to you but the only reason that IU didn’t have 500 yds is because they took 3 knees at the end of the game in victory formation. They lost about 12 yds on those kneel downs. But anyways Nebraska isn’t that bad it’s just that IU is that good. Nebraska will get there.
