We are Jason and Beth. We are traveling across the country with two large dogs (Sienna and Hadrian). We hope to bring you our experiences as we travel.
Exploring The Mystical Beauty Of Moody Gardens
We traveled to Galveston, Texas to take in the beautiful Moody Gardens. Moody Gardens is a beautiful Aquarium, Atrium, and Discovery museum, all housed in glass pyramids. But it doesn't stop there, Moody Gardens also has a Hotel, a water park, and a steam Paddle wheel boat for dinners. We would definitely recommend one or two days here. There is soo much to take in that extra time is needed. Moody Gardens aquarium was a really cool setting, and they had the flow of exhibits set up perfectly, event with two school groups in the aquarium at the same time as us, we never had a blocked view. Unfortunately we had camera issues in the "Rain Forest" Atrium that we didn't noticed until we tried to upload so we were not able to share that, but it was just as neat as the aquarium was. This was a fun get away for a day for sure, and the ferry was pretty cool too, a lot of Dolphins to be seen.
Thank You

Our take on the Victron Orion DC/DC charger, and how we installed it.
Переглядів 3,3 тис.9 місяців тому
EDIT: we misspoke in the video, we said 600MAH but meant 600AH worth of battery storage. Sorry for the confusion. Of all the products we changed or integrated in 2023 the Victron Orion DC/DC Charger is without a doubt the BEST. We were on the fence about installing the Orion DC/DC Charger because to be honest we just didnt quite understand it at the time. This thing is awesome!! Our original 7-...

After being through a long winter in Colorado we figured this year we were in for some fun in the sun, and had been hearing alot about Camp Margaritavilles and how fun they were. We found this one in Crystal Beach, Texas, which was the closest to us, and gave it a shot. We were down there November and ...

We have compiled a list of some of the best products we purchased in 2023. Some of theses were just an upgrade to an old unit that we already used while some are all new to us. Either way these products we enjoy and use pretty much on the daily. 2023 definitely was a different years for us and as we begin to travel full time again we wanted to share the products that we feel make that easier. The Best RV Step Covers

RV Step Covers are the perfect find if you have slippery or icy steps due to conditions where you are camping. We learned the hard way that when there is ice and snow the steps and handrail can become so slippery that you fall down all the steps and injure yourself on the way down. How do you find the perfect RV Step Covers though? First step is to determine what you are looking for, is it carp...
We installled an undersink water heater and it is AMAZING!!
Переглядів 18 тис.11 місяців тому
We had a very hard time getting hot water from the water heater to our kitchen sink, and as you can imagine this in the winter seemed to take forever. Now mind you, it was probably only a minute to a minute and a half but that is a huge waste of water. And if you are boondocking that is something you just don't want to be doing. There had to be an easier / more effective way i thought. I just k...

RV Interior Lighting problems
Переглядів 7 тис.Рік тому
We ran across a problem that tends to happen with RV interior lighting. While flickering with RV interior lighting can be somewhat annoying we will walk you through how to replace these with ease. The puck lights are simple to install if you remember that the wiring in an RV is different than in a residential home. Once you know which wires are hot and which wires are ground you will be on your...

RV Macerator and how to use it.
Переглядів 16 тис.Рік тому
When Moochdocking this RV Macerator is key!! A Macerator is used to move the waste water from the RV to another location, typically through a garden hose. This RV Macerator that we bought has the capability of lifting the waste water to 10 feet. This is very helpful when there is not a sewer location near by and you have to improvise to a stick and bricks to what ever location you come up with ...

Well we decided to take the plunge, YES this little device is AWESOME. ...
Our RV Water selction valve snapped off, what we had to do to fix it!!!!
Переглядів 7 тис.Рік тому
Well it finally happened to us. We went to change our RV water valve from city to tank fill, and the lever broke off in our hand. So what now. Well we obviously had to fix the water valve. We contacted Tiffin MFG and we were then directed to ABCO. And to our surprise..IT WAS COVERED under warranty. Holy smokes!! But now the fun part of actually accessing the valve and to do the replacement. We ...

Do you feel that the Dinette Table in your RV is just...Wrong??? We always felt that it was too small for working off of and then to eat off it always seemed a little claustrophobic. So what was our fix you might ask... Simple, tear it out!! Lol, we did replaced it with a bar style table that opens up the space so much more. We have a link for the table down below. But then as most RV projects,...

How to Replace the Vinyl Tile Planking in your RV.
Thank you for explaining this in a great simple way.
Outstanding job! Professional looking end result. This is a most useful video, thanks for putting it up. Cheers.
I've been thinking about adding these to my new Alliance Avenue 23ML. Unfortunately, there is on screw similar to what you have on the bottom of your trailer, holding the bottom cover material that is right above where the Sumo Spring will go. I wonder if you had that, and if you just moved the screw to a place close, but out of the way? I would think the screw would damage the Sumo Spring if left there.
Thanks for the video. I am planning to install one in the bathroom. Does this guy turn on and off automatically sensing the water flow or you have to manually turn on and off? Can you set the temp?
You can not set the temp. It does sense flow and engage.
We had the same darn issue with ours. My husband sitting in traffic would get so annoyed. It also tore up our brakes on the Ford.
I was wondering if you used anything on the inside bottom of the insulation board to hold it in place? We’re in ours this winter while building our barndominium in the middle of a corn field in Eastern Iowa. Gets very windy out here.
We did not, however I have seen some use 1x2’s behind and make a frame. We just wedged ours up between the ground and the lower skirting of the camper.
Thanks for sharing. We have the same shower in our Vilano and we hate it. Could have done it without the shower seat. Seems to be a little tight in there.
Thank you. This is exactly what I was thinking and your video confirmed it. I appreciate it.
I purchased this item. You can only trickle the water for hot water. I'm sending it back.
We have had this for well over a year now and have not seen this problem. What do you mean? As you can only run a trickle of water through your faucet? Maybe it is a defected unit? Either way we are sorry to hear you are having an issue with it.
@@HappyTailsRVing I installed it on the cold water line as the directions indicate. As long as I only had the water trickling I would get hot water. After further research it appears this is the case. Glad to hear its' working for you.
i have a 2020 and what a shit truck but my right lamp does the same thing
Thank you for the video. It is very informative…good info. Two comments/questions: 1.) Why didn’t you open the yellow petcock first to drain off most of the fuel before breaking the five housing bolts on the tank fuel filter? Seems to me this would be considerably less messy. 2.) The recommended torque on the five fuel filter housing bolts is 7 ft. lbs. If someone is going to perform this service their self, why not remove the over-tightening risk and guesswork of reinstalling these bolts by using a torque wrench to retighten them?
Yea this is cool. And like you said didn't add the dishwasher. I didn't either as no need for two dishwashers she does a better job on dishes as it is
Seriously THANK YOU for posting this. I just had the shock at the dealership as well when they told me how much it was going to be for them to do it, lol. Looks like something I can easily manage now thanks to your video. REALLY appreciate it!
Glad we could help
Great video! Would you still recommend it months later?
It’s your trailer the brake wire is probably shorting out when it touches the frame
I had thought that at first. So I rewired the cables at the axle being as this is a common problem with the wire that goes through the axle tubing. But this was in fact an active recall from ford that the module had to be flashed. Thank you for watching and a great suggestion.
yep, lots of water in the fridge……such a simple fix. thanks for posting!
It only works for maybe a year or two and then the popping comes back.
Just now seeing your video. Quick question - if using this for a tiny home , can one be placed under the kitchen sink cabinet as you did, and another be placed near the bathroom as the designated hot water for bathroom sink and shower, therefore eliminating the need for a “traditional “ hot water tank? Great video btw! 😊
Thank you it is very informative and presented in a way people like me understand easely
Thank you for the video. I installed mine and it works wonderfully. My A/C is the same like yours and Easy-Start.
remember you have to have the incoming water from a tee from the COLD side, otherwise water will be scalding when regular heater water comes through. So you don't need to use the hot angle stop. (At least in warm climates)
Hey guys great work. The finish looks great. I’m helping my dad with the same project. This edge binding is the missing link for us to finish. I can’t help but notice you guys had a roll of it. The link in you description is only 5ft sections? Did you order from Amazon? I’m just having a hard time finding a roll like you used. Thanks!!
We did get it from Amazon in 3 separate five foot sections. When we used this binding it was shipped in rolls. How this helps.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing.
How do you de energize?
We go down there a lot because my family has a house down there. We have never been where you are going. A suggestion I have would be to take the ferry from Port Bolivar to Galveston. The best part is that the ferry is free to ride. (just don't do it on a holiday week or weekend because it has very long lines.)🚐
I have the same fridge and the water tray gets filled to the rim I keep it on electric and on level 5. It doesn't seem to go out the tube because the tray fills all the way up and I have to dump it.
Nice review, appreciate it. I just had my camper tires replaced due to a belt breaking last week sitting at a campsite of all things. Really glad we caught it at the campsight but a TPMS system would really be ideal. Looks like a good setup with the Tireminder. I own an older rig so this would be a great setup for monitoring my truck and camper as well. The only drawback I can see is that the display looks like it would not be well placed on top of the dash due to how reflective it is. Easy enough to remedy. Happy Camping!
I have a 2023 F350 that is doing the same thing
The complete absence of Dampers ( shock absorbers ) probably had more to do with bouncing the contents of the Camper .
What size is the washer on bottom hinge. Tks
Fantastic informative vid. Thank you.
My display just spins and u cant set it. no hot water
Will be doing my first 2022 F350 XLT 2x4 dully by my self tomorrow. We normally have it done at the dealer when we're RV'ing, but now, we have a home again so I can do it my self now till we get on the road again next winter. We tow a 42 foot 5th wheel when we're traveling. Factory ordered Oct 2021, waited 6 months! She's got 43000 on and it's be a great truck.
Nice work!
Great video. Thank you for sharing
After reading all the comments Herb brought up my question at which no one responded too. .....that is by adding this upgrade it seems to me it will increase the probability of a bent axle. I currently have one driver's side rear bent axle. Need to do more research.
K heres my problem maybe its the same u had trailer brakes lock up and does like a jerk. I can see the tires locking up. Sometimes it doesnt do it but mostly every single time while slowing down itlocks up brakes then u get a jerk. Even at low speeds. I have tried 2 different trailers same thing my dad hooks up his truck zero problems to same trailers is this the problem u were having
I only have 30 amp no propane winter in BC Canada my fuses would blow
Thank you!
Hey, you have the first video I've seen that shows the shower drain pipe, and why we shouldn't use those little drain cleaners, nicely done, Sir! But I still have a clog, and I have the feeling I'll need to approach it from the gray water hook up side. It's not gonna be neat... 😮
Thank you, and thank you for watching.
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to put that together, I’m hoping mine is just a loose wire! : )
We have the same fridge
Do you know why my fridge is not keeping my food cold?
Did it just start or has it always not cooled? Could be thermistor out of adjustment, is the sun shining on the back side of it? Air flow is crucial to these absorption fridges working properly.
What make is the unit?
This is a SHIOUCY water heater. Thanks for watching our channel.
Link is not working. Very nice video
Link has been updated. Thanks for watching our channel.
I have water dripping behind the drip tray. What did you use for the deflector on the fins?
We actually took a very thin cutting board and cut it to fit behind the fins and eat in the back of the drip pan. I hope that helps.
Thanks for sharing! What suspension equalizer do you have and what ply tires?
I took my first trip with my sumosprings and they’re amazing. I just kept thinking while driving, that it’s an absolute shame that people can’t experience what these feel like because if they could, they would buy them. I was reluctant because of the price but now, I will never own another travel trailer or 5th wheel that doesn’t have sumosprings on them. These are amazing on my 5th wheel.
If I’m not mistaken, color means different weight category: blue for 3000 to 5000 and black 5000 to 8000 GAWR…
Thanks for the video. Always like to check how others do this process. I pull the screens out of the facets just to keep them clean from the scale while flushing. Also, your inside dial will be on for about 12 seconds, blink off and repeat. This is the Truma telling it needed the de-calcification process run. We are Ft in a Vilano. Safe travels
