In puerto escondido
Response is in your first comment 🙂
Only need to watch out for ambush and confiscating by police they regularly rob and abuse people
Your second comment says "In puerto escondido". It's awful if you experienced that during your time there ☹ We did not experience anything like that during our month long stay in the city of Oaxaca de Juarez.
Hi. Thanks for sharing this video. What airbnbs/hotels would u recommend in Jalatlaco Oaxaca.? How far is a taxi ride from there to centro would u say. I am planning on travelling there this year, havent booked anything yet, but i will be coming from the UK.
Hi! Your trip sounds exciting! Jalatlaco is about a 10 min taxi ride from Centro. As we mentioned in the video, we did not stay in Jalatlaco, however, some tips we would give when looking for your stay is to make sure they have hot water on demand. Also, pay close attention whether they have heating or air-conditioning' if that is something you require, as it can be uncommon in Oaxaca, especially in AirBnBs. The reason we included Jalatlaco in our video is not just from research we did before going, but also from the recommendations of the local Oaxacan people 🙂
@@takeoffgetaway Thanks alot. Really appreciate that. Btw, i enjoy your vids 🙌
Thank you so much! Glad you like them 🙌 !!!
Moving there in 3 weeks, very excited. Thinking Jalatlaco or Reforma for long term stay, which did you prefer?
Wow! Good luck with the move, that sounds amazing! We would personally choose Jalatlaco for the ambiance and feeling of safety and security. However, Reforma has a lot more conveniences, such as bigger grocery stores for example. But if we were to head back, we would personally choose Centro, that was our favorite. And if it was just between Jalatlaco or Reforma, then Jalatlaco. Hope this helps! 🙂
We hope your move went well! Where did you end up choosing? 😃
Thank you for all the helpful information from this awesome video you made! We are thinking to go to oaxaca for a month. Which places that you have stayed there will you highly recommend and would stay again? Thanks.
Hi! Glad the video was helpful 😀 How exciting that you are heading down there for a month! One of our favorite AirBnBs is one that you can find if you search "airbnb comfortable apartment with terrace oaxaca" in google. It should be the first search result that pops up (the host is Lourdes). It is just outside of Reforma, a bit north. For our purposes it suited us very well. At the time we went, it did not have air conditioning, but if that's not an issue for you, we highly recommend it. The host was also very nice and super helpful. As far as where we would stay again though, if we went back for another long term stay, we would definitely look for a place in Centro, without a doubt. We loved our stay there the most! There are so many things within walking distance, you are close to lots of touristic activities, and you are right in the action of certain celebrations! As a personal 2nd choice of neighborhood, we would choose Jalatlaco, though most things would be a short taxi ride away 😊
Thank you this is very helpful! Happy Holidays 😊
Awww, we are so happy to hear that, thank you! 😊 Happy Holidays to you too!! 👋☃️☕️
7:31 Where is this? I saw other youtubers videos of this Imaginarium at Fairplex, Pomona, CA and didn't see many thing shown in your video.
Our video shows their website, which perhaps is using footage from previous years. However, we went to check it out ourselves last week and absolutely loved it! We did see the tent of lights, the nutcrackers, the mirror rooms, and photo boxes. The specific lights at the timestamp you gave we did not see, but they did have a very similar display with carpets of lights, reindeer statues of lights and a cool flying fireflies effect. Also, the enchanted forest was a bit hidden, but if you go past the tunnels in gingerbread land and turn left down the pathway, you will eventually see it :D

And a Happy New Year 🎵🎶 Thank you 😊
Thanks for this info. I'm going shopping 😁
Have fun! So many places, it's hard to choose which ones to go to! Happy Holidays! 😃
I am going in a few weeks as a solo female traveler, and I had reserved a hotel that I thought was close to Centro Historico, and it turns out it was about 15 mins away. I am now booking Trebol. Thanks so much for your recommendation and Oaxaca videos 😊
It makes us super happy that our video could help you find what you were wanting! We hope you have an amazing time exploring Oaxaca!😃!!
Such an excellent and comprehensive video!!! Thank you so much!
So happy you liked it! We really appreciate the feedback 😍 Thank you!
Of course it's safe !
Exactly! We hope our video can inspire and reassure people that it is safe to travel to Oaxaca de Juárez and that they have lots of great options of where to stay 😃
Wow, this celebration is so AMAZING. I'll have to go and experience it myself. Mexico here I come👍 By the way, I love your videos. They're informative and great places. Please keep them coming, I truly enjoy them😊
Thank you! We're really happy that you're enjoying what we're sharing 😊✨️ Looking forward to being able to provide more content in Nov & Dec!
The quality of your video is very good, you do a lot of hard work for business but you are not getting views because of not doing proper SEO of the video. Even with so much effort, no result is coming. I am a UA-cam SEO Expert. And I have been successfully working in this sector for a long time. If you know more details please Drop a reply.
Thank you for the compliment! 🙂 We wish you luck finding new clients, but we are not looking for paid services at this time.
I don’t think I can choose either, it’s a good thing there are a day (or two) apart, so technically I could do both! 😜
Timing might be a bit tight 😉 ... But, maybe it would count if you watch your favorite Halloween movie on the flight down to Oaxaca! 🍿✈️😀
I often do research like this for my trips within in the USA, but it’s much harder when researching international areas, so I really appreciate all this detailed info! I’ll definitely plan a visit to Oaxaca!
Glad it helped! We made it because we also appreciate it when we find this type of content before planning a trip! Hope you get to go soon 🙂
I am so excited to experience this next week. Thanks for sharing. All the flowers and colors look amazing and is making me excited. It’s very helpful to know what to expect. I visited Oaxaca over the summer but I’m súper excited to come back and experience Día de Muertos. Whats the ñame of the cemetery you visited?
Glad it was helpful! 😍 The cemetery we featured in the video was "Panteón de Xochimilco" (just north of Centro). As we mentioned in the video, it was recommend to us for a super intimate and low key setting, with different presentations outside the cemetery on different days. However, if you are looking more for something similar to what they depict is Disney's Coco, the cemeteries about 20 min (probably 45min to 1hr in the traffic of the holiday) south of Oaxaca de Juarez are highly decked out, they are called "Panteón Viejo Xoxocotlán" and "Panteón Xoxo". We hope you have an amazing time experiencing Día de Muertos!!
@@takeoffgetaway Thanks so much for the recommendations. I really appreciate it. I really like the smaller more intimate one you shared in this video. I'm going to try and get to this one at least. Thanks again! I am excited to experience it in Oaxaca.
Ok great! 👍 We're excited for you, hope you have an amazing time!! 😊👏
Hello! Love your videos. I am going to Oaxaca for Day of the Dead in a few weeks and watching this has really gotten me excited. Did you get that adorable axolotl shirt somewhere in Oaxaca? Also, any particular shops you recommend? Thank you!☺
Hi! Oh my goodness, we are so excited for you! 😀🙌 Thank you for your compliments; glad you enjoy our videos ❤️ Yes, I got that axolotl tank top in Oaxaca. Actually, if you got to timestamp 15:09 in this video, we are looking at t-shirts in front of a seller with a floral headband... That's where we got it! 😊 We didn't see any names for the booths, but we just checked the tag and it is by "Larva Clothing" and they actually seem to sell shirts online 🙂 As far as shops, we mainly bought our souvenirs from street vendors or the booths next to the Santp Domingo church. But we can recommend a few restaurants if you want 😉
@@takeoffgetaway Thank you so much!☺ My best trip souvenirs have usually come from street vendors so I will stick with shopping that way. But yes, any advice on restaurants and/or coffee shops would be wonderful. 😀
@@KarynMcClary Sure! Our favorite restaurant was Los Danzantes (on the Andador Turístico about 400* ft south of the Santo Domingo church), which is a high-end restaurant. We had the mole sampler, we highly recommend it! We also enjoyed the Mayordomo locations, they are a mid-range restaurant. They have several locations but they are not a franchise so they have different menus at each one. Our favorite was the one at the Zocalo. And if you are looking for more of an authentic hole in the wall, our favorite was El Apetito Buffet, an amazing selection and everything was so tasty, and the price was super affordable! As far as coffee shops, we couldn't stop going to Cafe Brújula, which we featured in the video (they also have several locations, we went to the one kitty corner to the Santo Domingo church). Hope you enjoy!
@@takeoffgetaway Thank you so much! I am very excited to try your recommendations.😋
Why do you consider these neighborhoods safe for travelers? Have travelers faced risks in other neighborhoods? Is it simply because that’s where foreigners tend to gather? Have you personally had negative experiences in the areas you’re advising against?
While living in Oaxaca for one month, we had the opportunity to talk to many locals. These picks are based not only on research we did before heading down there, but also by the confirmation from the many Oaxacans we spoke to. 🙂 In general, Oaxaca is one of the safest states to visit in Mexico and its capital is considered safe for tourists; but even still, these were the places we felt most comfortable in recommending after having stayed in 3 of those neighbohoods ourselves, walking around the other two, and hearing about it directly from the many friendly local Oaxacans we had the chance to meet 😀
Oaxaca has won Travel & Leisure "Best city in the World to Visit" for two years in a row. That speaks about what is Oaxaca.
Very well deserved 👏 We loved the time we spent there and definitely look forward to return! Oaxaca has so much to offer!
Great video!
Thank you, glad you liked it!😃
The food looks soooooo good! Everything looks so beautiful and colorful! Adding to my vacation options!
We hope you are able to go! Oaxaca is often called the gastronomic capital of Mexico! There are so many great places to get amazing food, hopefully we can make a video of our favorite restaurants in Oaxaca! 😍
Wow, I might have to take a quick trip to Oaxaca this month after seeing this!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
It was AMAZING! We would go back every year if we could! 😍
You should have put on swim trunks and gone to the pool. Great video.
We wish we had! 😂 We ran out of time because of our filming schedule and trying to cover so many things in Solvang for future videos! But it gives us an excuse to go back to enjoy the Corque again 😃 Thanks for watching!
