Hi there, thanks for being here! My name is Sima and I love to grow food! I live in growing zone 6a, in Ohio, every year I am still learning what grows and what doesn’t in this area. The purpose of this channel is to share my experience, knowledge and look back and gain more insight on what I could’ve done better and where I have succeeded. I want to encourage you all to garden, I want to bring back the art of growing your own produce and the importance of the local community! Thank you for your support and love!

Congratulations beautiful baby ❤
Thanks for sharing your garden with us. Your little garden helper is so cute. Happy gardening 😊
Garlic 😂😂😂😂
I enjoy growing Corn 😊
They sure are enjoying 😊 Thank you for sharing 🙏
:)
So when they form that first year do you just leave them in the ground for 2 years or do you dig them up and then replant them in the fall?
I dug them up, dried them and replanted. I have not tried leaving them in the ground.
Pond?! That looks like a lake! 😉
Now it's the two girls gardening a little :)
Greetings from your Dayton neighbor, I was wondering where you disappeared to. Glad to see you back on the interwebs posting your knowledge to help us grow as gardeners as well as cultivating our land. Congrats on the lil one. Is Mr Garden a Little making a fishing pond or is it for an irrigation purpose?
Thank you! Also thank you for your comment, he built the pond for fishing and for swimming.
Great video and info. Glad to see you back. Thanks for the share!
Wow I just started growing strawberries 🍓
The chickens will eat the worms that are eating the broccoli leaves. Beautiful garden 😊
Great information. I have a 2 cf bag of shavings sitting around for over a year, I don't even know how I acquired it! Going to add it to my berry beds today 😁🧓👍
You are so right. I am getting my seeds together. New friend here. Showing you support. I get so excited about getting my seeds going. Happy gardening and good luck on your seeds.
Water only in the morning to prevent mildew, mold, and root rot.
Music garlic is the best.
Grow Bandit and Bulgarian Leeks
Music Garlic Scapes are so good.
Bandit and Bulgarian Leeks are started here in 6a.
Congratulations on your news! Enjoy your winter rest. ❤ from Colorado Caren
Congratulations 🩷🩷
Amazing!! Moving faster than Wonder Woman and the Kubota tractor. Got everything done in less than 5 minutes!!!😄😆👍👍
😂
Zones 6 and lower are about to crash. Best to do it under your own terms. Great getting that work done. Thanks for the share!
Great video showing how easy to save seeds. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Looks like a decent product. Thanks for sharing. You sound like a meteorologist!
😅
Great unboxing video! Water timers are a really great idea! Love the display hub it has.
Yes, it’s time to plan for the next season.
Nice harvest! Yes, Corn needs to be harvested earlier. Maybe next year.
Nice tomato harvest. A soaker hose system would help you with watering.
COMPOST YOUR ROOTS, THE PLANT PRODUCES ENZYMES TO FIGHT THE BUGS OFF AND KEEP THEM OFF
😓 *promosm*
Orr get mad at them and squish them into a bowl of soapy water! 🫠😕😭😡 I would have so many mixed emotions! Especially when some tomatoes take 70 + days to harvest. But I routinely check my plants so hopefully I won't find myself having them get that far... 😅
Great video Sima, the garden looks great! I would give anything for cooler temps here in South Florida.🤩 - Emmanuel Arce/Ultimate Gardener
Great update. Alot of stuff doing well. Sometimes it is best when overwhelmed to trust the process. Good or bad it will be unique. Thanks for the share!
Very true!
Your garden has grown so much since I last watched!!!!
Yes! Lots of changes 💕
Yummy 😋
You crazy for not putting the salt in your hand and then pinching that salt into your food.
Keep those plants healthy. Thanks for the share!
And set up a trellis
I have quinoa seeds but didn’t get them planted this year. Hopefully next year.
That is purple Kohlrabi. It forms above ground. The rutabaga forms in the ground like beets and turnips.
I came here to say the same thing...purple kohlrabi, not rutabaga
Thank you, love to learn!
It took my radish a long time for the pods to fill out. I had started to think they wouldn’t. But they did.
Saw your link on Friends of Roots and Refuge. I also have a gardening UA-cam channel. It’s still super small. Love the flowers.
Thank you!
They a pollinator they develop into a hummingbird moth
Well... That's too bad. Tomatoes are self pollination crops and I hope bees and birds are more abundant. Because tomato horn worms are actually more of a problem. Yes. Your right. But There are so many other different types of pollinators that work too. Most flying insects like hover flies, some house flies , humming birds, some butterflies, and most bees will do a good job pollinating too. Tomato horn worms just suck.
ground eggshells (not to powder, but small pieces), and pour a ring of it about two inches away from the base of the plant. Soft-bellied insects will cut their bellies open if they try to cross the line. As an added bonus, the egg shells give nutrients to the plant when it rains. Add more rings of shells once they start to diappear. At least this has never failed me.
Knew immediately a hornworm was there. Follow the droppings. Chickens are mostly intimidated by them but not a turkey. A heavy population can strip a plant overnight. They can be tough to see, very well camouflaged in sunshine. Sometimes you will find one that is covered w eggs from a parasitic wasp. Leave that living nursery alone, the hornworm is a goner. Above ground wasps are friends of the garden. Sister gardener!
I'm growing quinoa for my first tme this year too. Not sure when to harvest it, but I'm hoping I'll just know when it looks ready lol
I am in the same boat! I’ll keep you updated if I find any tips/tricks haha
Your garden looks great!
