The reason for getting that better smoke with a rollie vis. a tailormade is the thickness gauge of the paper it's rolled in. In Europe, OCB black is so thin, honestly, that, untill you see the watermark, you don't see paper ; at all. It's as though the tobacco is being held magically in place. When OCB came to the U.S. and offered the Black, it was made here stateside and was just over bleached white rice paper whereas the European OCB is made on the continent and is organically processed . Counter intuitively, the thinner the paper, the stronger and more durable it is. It's practically immune to getting wet. I've spilled drinks on them in French and Holland bars and simply dry them with one wipe on a dry napkin. The thicker gauge lijk standard tailor mades just disintegrate immediately; it's happened too many times. Another point about strength is throwing one into your pocket will bend it lijk a palm-tree in an hurricane but it will not break, lijk a palm-tree in an hurricane. So, OCB Black in the U.S. will disintegrate if you spill one drop and they're definitely visible although, at the time I first saw them available in the U.S. in 2012, EZ Wider had not yet introduced ultra thin papers; so for ultra thin, they were the only game in town. When they did, they were a clone of the OCB Black in every way mentioned formerly. So, when I rethought my strategy for having a better American Cigarette, I went to RAW Black Ultra thin which I had resisted due to idiosyncratic reaction of the paper in rolling. (I was shown a way of rolling the gum strip under the paper roll by starting tbe roll from the gum strip end with the gum side facing me and tearing off the extra paper to make a tailor made. This is done by folding the strip under the paper dry and liiking the outside paper ovver the strip and , well in Europe with the invisible papers, simply stroke the paper over the strip lijk gently stroking the ego of a nasty boss however, witb U.S. made ultra thin papers, you'll need to press the paper at the strip lijk your orange juice presser between thumb and forefinger. Now, since the gum formula changed subtly , on RAW papers, I now, out of frustration from failed rolls, roll in the standard fashion) So, with paper tips, not cotton, and RAW Black Ultra Thin, I have the enjoyable smoke that keeps me to three to five cigarettes per diem. Plus, RAW papers are an Iberian Spanish company that probably lijk OCB does by letting the work be done state-side, is still made from hemp which does not disrupt my throat so bad.as EZ Wider and OCB.

I didn't notice until later in the video but, I have never seen anyone use a roller that way. Before my Original Rollie I would always place my paper down in the belt roller, then add my filter and tobacco. The paper never wants to pop out when I would do it that way.
