The Splinter Group with Peter Green (live at Ronnie Scotts methinks?). Great band, great video!
Bluebell River it’s the studio version, but still an epic track, and the song that was stuck in my head the whole trip.
Tom Hurley I bow to your knowledge! If you havent already, pls do get the Live at Ronnie Scotts album. Its their best by far!!
Bluebell River it accompanied my working day earlier this week! I had the pleasure of being lighting engineer for a Peter Green gig some years ago. I was already a fan so I was working with a hero!
Tom Hurley Oh my goodness! He's definitely one of my heros! Got most (many?!) Of his albums including the stinkers. Was that when Cozy was playing drums? Im surprised The Splinter Group isnt better known!!
WOW THIS IS SO COOL!
great video thanks for showing
Are these one or two man?
You need a British Waterways license for many canals and rivers (British Canoe Union membership includes this) but I'm not sure how this would affect electrically powered craft. The BCU and BW websites should be able to help.
Thanks for the reply, I have noticed a lot of people using inflatable rafts and kayaks with the electric motors on the back on the canals and rivers, do you need a licence for those?
No, but I strongly recommend visiting this excellent page from the Port of London Authority: www.pla.co.uk/Safety/Canoes-and-Kayaks-General-and-Night-Navigation-Advice There's also a Kindle book I published about kayaking the whole of the length of the Thames - see www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0092RG9K2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1442786087&sr=1-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=Tom+hurley&dpPl=1&dpID=51ZRW3xUpwL&ref=plSrch
Do you need a licence to do that?
It was a good night out down there.I stayed in the car
Wade in THAT?! Fuck that!
Wonder how long that new café will last on the dockside
Blimey Tom, impressive scary footage! :)
and if you look very carefully you can see a certain ERC boat heading in for a closer view!
cool !
music reminds me of my pops!
I use a GoPro HD Hero 2 as it has a built in timelapse function as well as the full HD video (see my video of kayaking through central London to see the output in video form rather than timelapse stills). For timelapse, I compile the stills into a video file using Quicktime Pro - it's dull but works. As for distances? Around here (Exmouth), I'll do anything up to about 16 miles a day but when we did the full Thames trip in May 2012 we were covering 20-25 miles a day for 9 days straight.
Hey DevonDigital, Would you mind sharing what you use for a waterproof camera? How many miles are you typically doing in a day and over how many hours... Cheers :)
Why is there a lighting strike at 4:11? ah well good video, shows how busy this place really is.
Fascinating! I'm going to the next Question Time recording which just happens to be Exeter (again!) on Thursday, 26th May. This time it's at the Nortcote Theatre!
What a bunch of dudes, cool, you make rowing at 7.30am on a cold winter, Sunday , look like fun!
ben is certain to lose his seat at the next election. Why? Because he gives not a jot about the localisied areas, I predict a hung parliament
Bit of Pelvic floor and Transversus abdominus boys and you'd fly!!!!
This is well cool! Is that you dead in the middle of the floor at the end?
