I want to really thank Gabe for Finding the Fun. I just got my copy (backed it) and am enjoying the read. I hope he continues to find time to discuss game design, development, and publishing. I think he has a lot of useful and helpful things to say!

I'm having a bad experience with GOTM. The January game of the month is the only one that arrived with no issues. Since then, 4 more have come and theres always something wrong. February's GOTM was missing a card and Gabe was quick to point that out and sent it out with April and May's GOTM. But March, April, and May's GOTM all arrived with damaged cards. The cases that are used for these tightly packed games are not flat inside, there are tiny "teeth" I like to call them because they literally bite into the cards. Now when this happened the first time in March I wrote a message to the provided email and waited. The next GF campaign started and I made a comment like I won't back anymore if no one responds to my emails. Someone finally got back to me and like immediately. They send 5/6 correct card replacements. 1 wasn't the correct card but I moved on. Then April and May's games came together. Both had the same "bite" out of the cards. On top of that, the transparent plastic on the case is peeling off from the edge. I wrote and email and that was on the 25th of October. It's the 7thof November now and I haven't heard anything. I'm already on the hook for June and July's GOTM but that's it for me. It was a cool idea and the games are fun but I find it hard to deal with these production issues every month.

You need to do more prep for these episodes. You can’t start an interview by saying you basically know anything about the person you’re interviewing and expect us to spend our time listening to it. Especially when you say the mission of the podcast is to deepen our connection to the people behind the board games. If you don’t come in with a deeper understanding of them, how can expect to deepen ours?

They did awesome with the 10th anniversary Firefly the Game campaign. I cannot wait for the Star Trek Ascendancy one this October!

While none of these games are for me due to having different preferences in games, I still appreciate you doing these videos! It's a very nice way to get a feel for what's coming up.

Got excited when odd bird games came on. Excitement left after finding out its not for fir.

This video was so much more enjoyable due to the pleasant speed of talking. Your videos are always interesting and entertaining but you often talk so fast that it feels so stressed and stressing and less enjoyable. It is also harder to follow for me as a non native speaker. In my very personal opinion the stress and haste is not worth saving 3-4 minutes.

Is it me, or I just didn't found any of the announced games exciting? I was expecting something big and massive in the lines of ISS Vanguard part 2 etc.

Hey Alex not sure where to turn but my Gamefound page is all in Polish and I can't read Polish to find a way to fix it. I have heard other people were having the same issue but its been a couple days now. Can you help or point me in the right direction?

I have an idea. How about you hold certain companies liable for lying about a product and not delivering what was promised. Like Next Level Miniatures who promised 28mm and are producing 25mm miniatures?
