Very cool! They look like hummingbirds when they are feeding. I didn’t know they can hover like that! I just found a tomato worm today, have it in a container to see if it’ll go under the dirt and cocoon

I found one of these caterpillars! I brought her in and gave her a fuchsia and she ate for a few days and now she's not eating and crawled to the furthest edge of a stick in her box. Is she ready to pupate? What's the best nest I can make for her? Thanks!

A cute little moth just fell on my head while I was watching this so I decided to adopt it making the video soon

The silk moths are truly magnificent, but here’s the thing. As adults, they don’t have mouthparts and as such, can not eat or drink. Consequently, their lifespan as adults does not usually last over a week. As caterpillars, they store up all the energy they’re going to need during that week which is just long enough for them to mate and for females to lay eggs. This applies to many of the giant silk moths as well. Luna moths, polyphemus moths, Hercules moths, comet moths, even the giant atlas moth has this same trait.

Hello where or how can I get this butterfly and if I can’t get the butterfly itself how can I get the pupa/larva/egg or adult

Is it normal for them to have white dots in the middle of there back wings semiotical ? I forgot even regular moths can have designs on wings but one I just seen was so weird looking and as soon as it realized I was looking at it flew up into sky. Made me think spy bug?… that is why I ask have you ever seen two white dots on a wing pattern of a month and 2nd question if you know if not it’s cool are butterflies and months the same type of bug? Like are months just night butterflies or is there moths with no design on wings and then night butterflies? Like two type of months?
