In this video, we explore the route of City Direct 677 back from Temasek Boulevard to Punggol Road.
The route is a Weekday Peak Hour Service between Sengkang and the CBD, passing through Anson Road & Cecil Street. It plies a long express sector, utilizing the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway.
As the sixth City Direct route introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), it increases convenience and offers greater connectivity for residents, who would otherwise have to commute via feeder bus and transfer to the rail network. The new scheme promises to introduce more bus services, including peak-hour express bus services.
If the eves of Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Chinese New Year fall on a weekday, the Evening Peak departures will be brought forward to the afternoon. Revised departure times will be provided by the operator closer to the affected date.

Service 677 is the third City Direct service to be introduced in Sengkang, after Services 654 and 671. Three pairs of bus stops are shared with City Direct 671-along Anchorvale Rd (65801 - Blk 309D / 65809 - Anchor Green Pr Sch), Sengkang East Ave (67211 - Ranggung Stn Exit A / 67219 - Ranggung Stn Exit B), and Punggol Rd (65011 - Opp The Rivervale / 65019 - The Rivervale).
Although both services 671 and 677 serve areas near Tongkang and Ranggung, they take different routes to the CBD: Service 671 heads west via Fernvale and the CTE, while Service 677 travels east via the KPE, offering a faster route for residents near Ranggung.
