It gets pretty cold here in Iowa but nothing compared to Canada. This video is made first week of August. Right now queens are reducing Brood and bees are preparing for the winter. Wish you good overwintering with your bees🐝

Good catch Russell. I believe these were old supercedure cells. This video and last three videos were filmed first week of August. Since then I checked all the hives for laying queen and Brood. Those videos are coming soon. I did find a few queenless hives that I combined. I have made worse grunts off camera with these deep supers 😄

We have a very cold winter. Like to have smaller more compact place for them to overwinter. As far as food they have plenty

To be honest, food options were not that great. I would say food was average at best. Tried Mexican, Spanish restaurant, pretty much the same as the buffet food. The lunch restaurant by the pool had the same exact food every day, I would say the same leftover buffet food. There is espresso coffee and shop by the lobby.

I would extract the honey and put the suppers right back on the hives if you are not treating for mites

Beach was the best part of our vacation. No stones no grass absolutely amazing beach 100%

The place was amazing, but the people were not so "dedicated" in our experience

Yes we store it in our cool garage all winter long for months. Just make sure that it doesn't freeze.

Just to add we only ferment and use cabbage like this in big barrel douring winter time. Douring summer we buy single cabbage heads and store them in refrigerator.

Iess chance that they'll abscond, it's against their nature to abandon open brood. I add a frame or two of brood and food depending on the swarm size.

Rooms were a bit outdated but clean and cold ac. Nothing special

Get the junior suite ocean view. Away from the main lobby more noise I always get 5th floor. This is my 3rd straight year I love it. But I always make reservations right away at there sisters restaurants. I highly recommend The Brazilian steak house, Japanese restaurant, Seafood restaurant, French restaurant, Santa Fe Steak house. Those are way better at the resort. There Buffet is very good. But the night time I highly recommend those. 👌 I go in September for the Mexican Independence day

We stayed at the first building next to the pool. We didn't care much about the rooms, but their customerservice was pretty bad. Food and drinks were not that great either compared to other resorts we stayed in, but the beach was fantastic. The best beach in Mexico, in our opinion.

I would say just keep trying don't give up. If you follow all the steps in these queen rearing videos you'll have no problem making queens for your own apiary
