Great job. Thank you for sharing. Am a beginner in growing strawberries.
My parents have a bunch of pomegranates as well. It’s getting very tall. Could you share how you chose the cuttings?
I picked out branches around a finger's width, and around a pencil's length. Can be bigger or smaller, but that size has pretty good chances of success. Too long and they may dry out too much. I cut them so they had at least one node near the top and one near the bottom. Ideally they would root from the lower node and sprout from the top node but they may still sprout from the roots and that's okay.
Hi. Great video! Was able to get some cuttings like yours, wish me luck! For soil, i have: germination soil, worm hummus, bone flour and basalt flour . Any suggestion on which to use and ratio please ? Thank you
Awesome! Good luck to you! They should benefit from those amendments. The bags will usually have ratios with them. It'll be a little different if you're mixing them into the soil upfront vs applying as a top amendment. Premixed generally starts acting sooner, while top amendment can be a more slow release.
So I landed here to understand the flavor diffs btwn Hass and Fuerte. And instead walked away with the adorable cuteness of this couple, and the Vince Guaraldi piano backdrop. 🥑🎹👏
Can’t hear you talking with the loud piano music
Thanks for your review! I stopped drinking coffee & don't like the alternatives I've tried. A friend just told me about Crio Bru. I felt I needed other opinions & after watching this I feel better about trying this.
Just tried these for the first time and I love the flavor
Are all mint edible
Most types of mint are edible, but not all mints are equally enjoyable or safe for culinary use. Pennyroyal for example (Mentha pulegium) is technically a mint, but is toxic when ingested and shouldn't be used in cooking.
They have little bitter taste & are crunchy… today I went to harvest some .. no pits/ 10/23/2024 Israel
If I had a girl like that I would have way more eye contact with her than he’s doing. He barely looks at her. I don’t get it
I mentioned it being one coffee bean. I thought it had split in half, but turns out they are two separate seeds. Coffee cherries will generally have two seeds.
Item links are in video description.
Catnip and catmint are NOT the same. Catmin produces purple lavender-like flowers
Thanks for pointing this out! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has mixed these up. I'll add more info here for anyone that's interested. Here's what I found online: Catmint (Nepeta mussinii or Nepeta faassenii) and Catnip (Nepeta cataria) are both part of the mint family, but they differ in several ways: 1. Appearance: Catmint: Has more ornamental value with lavender or blue flowers and silvery-green foliage. It is commonly used in gardens as a decorative plant due to its long blooming period. Catnip: Has white or pale purple flowers and green, heart-shaped leaves. It is less visually appealing and is often grown more for its benefits to cats or as an herb. 2. Effects on Cats: Catmint: Contains lower levels of nepetalactone, the compound that affects cats. Some cats may respond to it, but the effect is usually milder. Catnip: Has higher concentrations of nepetalactone, making it much more effective at inducing the playful or euphoric behavior in cats. It’s the classic "cat drug" that cats tend to love. 3. Uses: Catmint: Primarily used in landscaping for its aesthetic qualities. It’s also more resistant to deer and pests. Catnip: Grown primarily for its effects on cats or as an herbal remedy for humans (used for teas, insect repellent, etc.). 4. Growing Conditions: Both plants are easy to grow, drought-tolerant, and thrive in full sun or partial shade. However, catmint is typically a better choice for garden borders and decorative purposes, while catnip is often grown specifically for feline enjoyment or medicinal use.
can you let the fuyu ripen so that its more soft and juicy?
Yes, it may also develop a stronger flavor with time.
1 want to see
I love that mother Earth dirt. Haven't used the coco yet. I'm messing with Fox farms coco mix this year and so far i don't like it. Says it's washed but my plants say different. Argh ph perfect is just burning 2 of em like wtf.
It naturally prunes the root tips from 1 into 2 and so on. So u end up with 1 huge root ball that goes out with it's roots rather than circling the pot. Ac infinity bags and gorilla bags last forever cause they are built 4 times thicker than normal bags. I like to use nothing but the best. But i do use 2 gallon ibuypower bags which is what you showed and they work just as good. 😁
holy.moly it's so funny seeing you bite it for the first time because I love hachiyas and i just hope you loved it too
Life changing. 🤯
ok
Iv been trying to find the nutrition value comparison online can’t find a thing. But gem taste better in my opinion. Thanks for your video
Found this: "Calories, fat, carbohydrates, and fiber are nearly identical in both varieties. The Gem avocado might have a slightly higher vitamin C content, while the Hass tends to have slightly more vitamin K." Possibly 1-2 mg differences.
I love cacao because it is used for foods and i love to eat the fruits of cacao
You can give and taste them to sold yoyr fruits
Hi, I air layered a rose and it has grown lots of white healthy looking roots . Ipotted it up . The leaves which were initially in the cane became dry and fell. So, when I potted it up it did not have any leaves left. But it had healthy root growth, so I potted it up. Do you have any experience like this? How long it will take to grow new leaves?
It should start leafing again once it gets established. It sounds like that cane was getting stressed if the leaves were dropping. It may start growing new branches or new shoots from the base prior to leafing again. I would try and keep it from getting stressed while it's establishing. Not too much sun, consistent watering but not too much, etc.
Can u grow your sugar cane stalk till is fully mature in that pot?? I want to grow mine but I don't think I'm going to be able to put it in the ground. Or labs kind of sucks where I'm at lol. Could I grow mine full time in a pot??
I've gotten a few maybe a quarter height. I think I was neglecting watering them though. If the pot were big enough and got enough care it would likely get pretty big. Maybe not the same as in ground but could probably achieve a decent size.
Beautiful
Probably 'Maru', which is a 'chocolate - type' persimmon. The actual 'Chocolate' variety has an elongated acorn shape..
Hello Casey, I am impressed to see your "Casey's Garden" UA-cam channel. Your video content is Really Awesome. I was analyzing your channel. Your content quality is perfect but your tag setup is not properly well. That's why you are not getting your result. You need a full SEO setup to grow your channel. Jackfruit works for everyone 😊 one of the delicious and nutritious fruits 😋 whoever has eaten a jackfruit has often fallen in love ❤️ with it😊
GEM is good tree to grow but I think Hass still has a slight edge. I am not growing Hass but am growing GEM and Carmen and many others.
Why do my plants rot when I put them in water and start to wilt after two days? What could be the reason, please?
I have had the same happen with some of my cuttings. It may not be 100% success rate. When it's happened with mine it could have been that I didn't change the water often enough. Or maybe I didn't take off enough of the leaves. If it's got too many leaves, fruit, or flowers it will be trying to support them instead of sending energy toward root growth. I've found aphids hiding on some of mine, you can rinse the cuttings thoroughly to avoid them. It could also be the cuttings came from sick mother plants. Generally all tomatoes will get sick at some point. I've noticed with mine that they may not outgrow the disease fast enough and start dying off and rotting. So it could be some or multiple of these reasons.
I just tried a chocolate fuyu persimmon from whole foods and i got a whole mouthful of the dryness you are talking about. Maybe its not ripe yet...
Do you have to do anything else before you plant it or put it the freight to spout
Generally speaking they want a certain number of chill hours. So cold stratifying in the fridge to simulate going through winter can help them germinate faster. I've gotten pretty lazy with mine though. I just plant them and keep an eye on it over weeks/months.
Wow I just found a double seed
So this was 3 years ago... what happened when you planted them?
If memory serves I believe some of the seedlings grew to an inch or two tall but didn't make it. I think it was due to a fungus gnat issue I was having with my growing media at the time. At some point I switched grow media and corrected the issue. I have a couple granny smith seedlings from around that time that have made it through everything to the sapling stage, so they probably have some hardy genetics.
lol! You guys don't even know how to properly peel the oranges?😅😅😅😅
The fuyu addition in the labeling is to inform that the persimmon cultivar called "chocolate" is a non-astringent variety. For example, Izu and Chocolate are fuyu varaieties and Saijo is a hachiya (astringet) variety, etc.
You mean ant moute
You mean ant moute
Dudes not even putting them first 🙄 and no useful info on the dates.👎
They are so good!
I think you have to grow up with these. They’re hard as a rock and I find them rather disgusting. 2 lbs probably go in the bin.
Nice review.
Yes fresh fruit off the tree is always the best in taste. Store fruit doesn't seem to have any flavor at all.
They r beautiful plants.
I have tried growing the cacao seeds for yrs and I haven't had no luck with them at all, I gave up on them. 😊
Hey, loved the vibe🙌! I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you create a better distribution by working on post-production like better storytelling through Edits, Keywords, think catchy intros and outros, or even some engaging short clips! Would love to chat if you're interested and keep creating good content:)
I want 1
Wow! I never knew there are so many varieties. APPLE MINT is a great mint and a favorite in market flower bouquets on the east coast. It is fuzzy and grows 3 feet tall. It is easy to pull up if you let it get out of hand. Mint is, also, great for re-training your sense of smell. Thank you for this video.
If it’s organic I believe it will mine is organic 30 day’s uts 3 inches
