Italy 2008 Rome (part 4)

Rome. The end of our last full day in Italy. I used my free time to explore Rome with my wonderful daughter. We climbed to the top of dome at St. Peters. Just like in Florence, the bells sounded - as if putting on a show just for us. I had a great time, except for the lasagna we were given for our last supper!

Rome. One of the most important cities in history. Ostia Antica was so beautiful. Like a smaller Pompeii, it was great to see this 2000-year-old town. The weather was excellent!

It took nearly two days to get there, but we finally arrived in Venice. The rain was rough from 10 a.m. until about noon, but the sun came out after the gondola rides. What an amazing city.

The images don't capture the true beauty of this incredible town. Anyone who gets a chance to relax in Assisi should visit the hotel in the video. It's close to town, and everything about it is delicious!
