Volkswagen Passat left driver side vent motor not working. Only blowing hot air.
My TDI Passat is only blowing hot air through the driver side air vents. Even when I switch it to AC, it's hot. I also have a "left temperature flap motor" fault so the motor that switches the vents from hot to cold is not functioning.
In order to fix this I had to replace the motor that is under my steering wheel.

My mop would stop working after running it for about 5 seconds. When I tried to run the auto clean function it would spill water all over the floor because the Suction Motor would never turn on. The problem was that the suction motor mechanically s...

    I had to do this for a lack of heat on the left side. There are a few screws in that silver metal bracket; I decided not to reinstall the really tough one. On the controller itself, there are two screws and a post. The one in the back is a bitch. Cut the head off of it and hand screw it in so that it acts as another post to keep the motor in position while the front screw holds it all in there.

    I have a small leak by the #1 and #2 injectors on the left, but the right looks okay. Do you think you really needed to remove/replace the valve cover, or would new gaskets/grommets around the fuel injectors have done the trick? (I know preventive maintenance is a good idea, but I also believe in not messing with any seals that aren’t leaking.) Thanks in advance.

    I know you measure the quatity that you drained and put the exact quantity back. However, the first stream of oil you drained after you removed the outer plug is the overflow. Once you refill with fresh oil, you get the temp to around 40 degrees Celsius then with the engine running you remove the outer drain plug again to remove the excess oil. That's how you set the correct level.

    Just ordered a new motor for my one off Ali express. The motor is actually sealed it’s the cover on the front that rusts and expands then stops the blades on the motor from spinning. If you take the cover off and sand it back then put it back on it also works. My one was so rusted I had order a new one. This can occur from using the wrong floor chemicals. Shouldn’t soap up otherwise ends up in the motor

    Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Do you have to do anything special to change the injector o-rings or copper washers? Did you do anything to try to clean the injectors other than an external wipe-down?

    • @marknewcomb375
      @marknewcomb375 4 місяці тому

      I just did this today. Nothing special. I just used a small pick to pull the o rings and a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the copper washers off then just run the o ring back on and press the washer on with my hands. I used a pick and cleaned all the carbon off under where the washer goes and used a high grit sand paper to clean the carbon off the tips. The small 0 rings in the kit are for the return lines. Be careful tightening the valve cover bolts. I broke two off today but was able to get them out of the head and had extra bolts. Just get them nice and snug and don't go any further. I believe the internet says the torque spec is 9 Newton meters but mine broke before I could to 9nm.

    Is it recommended to unhook the battery cables while doing this? Also did you have to pull the fuel pump relay and turn the engine over a few times to relieve the pressure from the fuel lines? My Amazon Basics Wireless Mouse caused both of my computers to freeze randomly -- on six different versions of Linux Mint. I installed my backup mouse (never been used) and it solved ALL the problems. Both boot drives were corrupted due to multiple times of having to do a hard power off and restart. A replacement Amazon mouse is only about $10, so I will buy a new one. The old one has lasted for ~ 6 to 8 hours per day for at least 6 years.
