    I just finished this mission for the first time and it took me like 45 minutes with an “OP” build i saw on a video, felt like i got a glimpse of what souls like players go through , i feel humiliated after watching this 💀

    Fun seeing the differences in the fight. To me, it seems like the shield is a bit weaker, at least to the melee, and I would love to see a more in-depth look at all the changes in the 1.0 version later.

      You’re 100% right the shield is way weaker, especially to the sword. It can take out almost all of it in one charged hit. For the rifles and missiles it is sort of compensated with how fast it grows but yea. Also it would be nice to have a long vid delving into it, but I’m no good at editing. I have talked about it with a friend whose pretty good at it and it might happen.

    This fight is INSANELY different compared to how we got it on release. It was definitely unfinished. There are also probably a bunch of differences, both obvious and subtle, that I might have missed due to the number. I don't think I'm gonna do a hitless on it just cause its so weird, so instead I'll talk about the differences here. 1. I would've included intro cutscene but realized when I restarted the mission that the music is cut incorrectly. Instead of the usual start, it begins with the ambience from the cutscene. 2. Ayre has a weird thing to the left of her healthbar. It kinda looks like a file or something? Not sure what that is. Kinda hard to tell because my PS4 quality sucks but yeah. 3. Her shield regens REALLY fast. You might notice when I leave her for even a moment it immediately starts jumping back up. Also, her shield pretty much immediately comes back from being broken, in the current version she fights without it for a little while before bringing it back. 4. General jankiness. Her teleport is less stable and will just send her flying everywhere. 5. Coral missiles have a different formation but are also really jank. They move really weirdly, its hard to tell what theyre doing. 6. She has the coral laser in phase 1, its usually a phase 2 move. I'm not sure if they are also faster or slower as the independent laser is pretty rare on current version imo, but I think the speed is pretty similar. You might also notice that while she does the laser, some parts of her (boosters?) turn blue. I wonder why... 7. It isn't shown here, but she has a move of ALLMIND's. I know they share lots of moves but this one is not seen in her current version and ALLMIND has it. It isn't anything crazy, just a sword combo extension that ALLMIND has in phase 2 after teleporting to you with an initial slash from far away. 8. Might need further testing, but I found it a LOT harder to dodge her phase 2 opening clone move by boosting back. It's what I usually do on current since it looks cooler but wasn't able to do it here, so I resorted to hovering through them. 9. Her cooldown on the move at 3:59 is either very reduced here or just nonexistent. The laser that comes after also seems to have reduced accuracy, I feel like it hits way off the mark than how it is now. 10. 4:08 11. 5:03 this move is weird, I recognize the animation from the current fight as the one she does to quickly move and shoot small lasers as a sort of dodge for things like missiles, but they don't have warning beeps and are a lot smaller than whats shown here. Also I totally almost died with that insta sword move after, but thats something that she and ALLMIND do even now. 12. I’d also like to mention that she’s bugged out on me before in phase 2 and kept her shield. 13. I think her HP is also generally higher, but unsure.

    I already knew this version of the game was a little messed up but this convinced me that the game was actually left unfinished. Like with Rusty, the second part of rusted pride just starts playing when you make him use a repair kit. At least with that you get to hear the full song though, it is way too short when it just starts with half of his health left. On top of that, there is no slow mo. He just kinda uses terminal armor and then.. dies. Also the infinite energy helps a lot more on 1.0, for whatever reason the melee lunge is REALLY broken and can sometimes send you really far. It's the only reason the fight was so easy. If I did the same fight on current version, it would have been way harder.

    This was hard. Harder than balteus by a long mile. Let’s talk about the differences. 1. First off, she doesn’t start the opening move in the same spot. Here, she moves right, but sometimes she can move left too. It’s pretty much a 50/50. 2. 1:35 the way the lasers attack you is a little different now. The concept for dodging is the same but the formation in which they hit is a little different, not sure why it’s changed. 3. 2:49 after Ibis swings both the needles and the blade beam, the camera zooms in. I’ve tested it without assault boost as well and it always zooms in. It looks SO cool, maybe it was meant to be a subtle cue to be aggressive and go in, since being close to Ibis at that point is best because the second wave of needles she does will completely miss you if you’re up next to her. 4. The bird attack and music are typically synced up in current. Bird attack happens at 3:16. The music where it’s supposed to be synced to is around 3:28. Bit of a less irrelevant change but yea. 5. It’s not shown here since it’s a no damage vid but some of the attacks have changed. The previous needle attacks do CRAZY damage (almost full bar) if you’re hit by all of them, I think they were adjusted to not be so bad. Honestly not much has changed about Ibis, and as a whole, every “nerfed” boss. Usually it’s just a check up to make sure they don’t do bonkers damage. Obviously that isn’t shown in these types of videos, so I encourage more exploration into this stuff. I also want to mention that as time goes on the player skill level simply increases, and that’s how it has always been. We go back to a boss and say “wow that was easy”, and after a “nerf”, we confuse it with that and think fromsoft killed a boss. This is NOT the case. You just became better, maybe have better gear, or you’re just seeing someone else make it look easy.

    It took substantially more punishment to destroy CEL 240 than the current version. I don't think it should have ever been nerfed.

      Big disagree, ibis health was never changed, the patch notes only say that some attacks were adjusted. This is true but not as much as you think. Like the one at 7:09 was changed. Ibis does the same animation but the formation in which they hit you is different. If you sit still or do a melee lunge at a bad moment when that attack comes out, it can surprisingly take out most of your health through a very easy stagger and just straight up kill you sometimes. I’m not sure exactly how it might be changed in current, but it definitely doesn’t do anything crazy like that, so that was a fair change. Another attack at 7:58 where the needles come in can totally destroy your health bar in a single hit, and it was adjusted to not do such ludicrous damage. Imo it was probably a mistake, of course I didn’t show it here but I definitely went to 1-2k health and a stagger from high hp due to that move, then died to the blade beam. No attack should just wreck you like that. Everything else is exactly the same. To be honest, I don’t think fromsoft did much of anything with most “nerfed” bosses, it was more just making sure they don’t kill you in 5 seconds. Obviously loader 4 has garbage defenses but even then it kinda goes for all ACs. The biggest thing needed to climb the AC6 skill curve is just not doing bad things at the wrong time, which was of course highly prevalent when it initially released since it’s a new game. The player skill level has simply increased and that’s how it’s always been, we shouldn’t confuse it with a nerf and say a boss is worse. You’re just better, or you’re seeing someone make it look easy.

      I might have some sort of HDR on my ps4, but don’t know for sure. I do agree though, like on the boosters there’s this cool purple hue, but I also don’t remember it being on current version, could be a 1.0 thing.

      Are you referring to 5:18? The blade beams are still very accurate, and imo the accuracy is still the same as current patch. Bosses do that sort of thing all the time on every version where they just attack in a random direction and lose you for some reason.

      @@woop348 Yeah, that was the big one. I think there were a couple of other strange attacks, but it may have just been camera angles during dodges that made them look weirdly off the mark. I guess I just never noticed the behavior you describe before, so I figured it was a 1.0 bug that they fixed in the day 1 patch.

    Sorry for the re-upload, the original didn’t do as good as I hoped, probably because of my initial thumbnail choice. Here’s the breakdown of things I noticed about balteus: 1. First, he seems to be a bit more active in his frequency of attacks. It’s not really much more than what it is now, but is definitely more noticeable when you realize that he’ll do machine gun > shotgun followup after a ton of moves, which he doesn’t now. Most of the time it’s really just that move. 2. His availability of moves at any given time is higher here. It wasn’t shown in the video, but his second phase opening move is one that can be used again literally IMMEDIATELY after he does it. In phase 2, I’ve even had him do the red missiles in the formation of the opening move 3 times, flying away after each one. I got hit on the 3rd wave. 3. His accuracy. His machine gun, shotgun, bazooka, and normal missiles (not the red ones!) are a lot higher here. The machine gun in phase 2 was crazy enough to where I had to dodge it with AB. The bazooka also seems to be a bit slower here. The red missiles accuracy seem to have SLIGHTLY increased, but honestly it’s a pretty negligible change. However, the perceived accuracy might also be a result of loader 4’s much worse speed on this version. 4. His damage. Now, this is probably a result of loader 4’s awful stats on 1.0, but I found that he seems to stagger and damage me much more easily. Other irrelevant changes here. 1. The pulse armor changes color as it decreases, which I thought was interesting. It was probably removed to not be confused with the stagger bar. 2. I think there are some lighting glitches (?) or something going on here. Like right before he assault armors, you can see that weird flare of light. Looks pretty cool tho. 3. Music. Some of the music cuts are a lot weirder here. If you listen closely, you can hear the phase 2 transition start right before he assault armors compared to now where he does it after. When you defeat him the music cuts a lot earlier than it should, the way it is now is really good, esp synced up with ayres dialogue. You might not have noticed but on current patch, the phase 2 transition music cuts some segments to get to the crazy part faster, probably because people rush it so they would want you to hear it.     The ephemera fight is bugged here. There's no dialogue and the timer doesn't start. I went back and replayed it, and found if you die to ephemera and then restart from when you destroyed the thing, it'll initiate the dialogue and timer.

    Thing i noted, the screen, UI and enemy Hp bar shake and blur a lot with blue and red colors just like in their gameplay footage of balteus every time you take damage or a big hit, this effects are very minimal now sadly and BOSS hp doesnt shake anymore

      Yeah but honestly it’s for the better. When you’re focused on the game you don’t want to have all these effects, especially if you’re getting hit continuously, your screen edges flash a bunch and it’s pretty annoying. But it is cool to see.

Even that I get why they toned it down, it would just be annoying in casual gameplay where you might be panicking and the screen practically blows up in your face, which isn’t very helpful when you’re already down. It is cool to see but for casual gameplay how it is now is better

      Well I kind of did this challenge incrementally. First starter ac, then added no os, then no repair kits, which still had lots of room for improvement, so I did it again which is this. In between that time, I did other preset challenges for allmind too. Hard to say how long it took based off that. It was on and off but if you want an answer anyways I’d say it was over a month of learning the nitty gritty between this and all the presets.

    Seems his missiles are a lot more accurate. Even when you dodge into the outward part, they will curve around and hit you anyway. Not sure if that’s a 1.0 thing specifically or if they were like this for a while after release

    It seems in global release he was moved further up where you first see him. His voice also is clear from the start, unlike in global release when he tuned into your comms. Also I was waiting a while for him to realize I was behind him, maybe I wasn't patient enough but I think he should have noticed me?

    Maeterlink was the first time i lost against in AC vs AC, had a hard time dodging his pulses. I use Linear rifle + 2 melee and missile launcher at the time

      Armored core has 2 ways to play it both equally fun the first is to play what you vibe with and eventually if you hit your head into that brick wall enough times you will break through. The other is about finding the right tool for the job a faster ac or a longer range one destroayes materlink.

    Probably an oversight that the explosion particles are blue and there was no slow mo. Maybe they made the allmind spiders first or something and then forgot to change the last part?? Also interesting that the music just plays the entire track, it isn’t cut up based on what phase you’re in. It’s also interesting that it felt way easier to stagger the spider here too. Apparently C weapons are weak to all damage types on 1.0.

    How do you go about getting old regulation files working?

      I’m on ps4, and I’ve been told that it’s not possible to recreate it on PC since there are ai changes and even extra attacks, the most you can do is stat changes. But if you are on ps4, you need a physical version of the disc. You then need to delete and reinstall the game with internet turned off so it doesn’t try to download all the patches. I had to go to a new account to start this playthrough as well since your save data will conflict if you try to play it on your usual.

    How can you keep him in ur sights all the time? Using target locked on? Are my settings wrong? Crazy skills by the way

      Are you playing on pc? I’m on ps4 but I know that if you move the mouse even a little, the target breaks off and it’ll go to soft locking. Keep hard lock by not moving your camera around at all.
