batteries will not last long and have to be replaced every 1.5 year. works for about 8-10 hrs continuously until engine has to be run for a couple hours to charge batteries again ...
.1.5 years is actually not bad, truck batteries last 2 years

Warning to all who want a APU. Look somewhere else. Climacab is junk. The batteries will chew themselves in that battery box, the PMM has a high failure rate and my cost of $1800 for the replacement, corrosion is a high issue, the studs on the pmm for the cables will break off when removing to clean corrosion, the batteries are AGM type batteries and cost around $250 a peice at Napa, $450 or so a peice from climacab, the warranty is a joke, you have to have really expensive test equipment to diagnosis almost any issue. JUNK I TELL YOU, JUNK!!!!!!
I hate to say it, but i just about agree with you, i have apu that came with truck, unit works, but thermostat keeps cutting up, have not been able to find another exact one, company gone out of business, i see why
