Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD in RPCS3
I love the Splinter Cell series, but sometimes it can be a real pain to play the original trilogy nowadays, especially if you aren't an Xbox owner. The ideal way I've found to play it is in RPCS3 with the Classic Trilogy HD versions. The Trilogy isn't all that great on real hardware, but in emulation, they can be run in 60FPS and upscaled to look a lot sharper. I love playing the old SC games this way.

Some gameplay for an underrated favorite of mine. I imported my real Xbox 360 save into Xenia, and it worked great. I'm also using a 60FPS patch.
SoulCalibur II in Emulation

I'm not a huge fighting game fan, but I do love the SoulCalibur series. I'd have to say SC2 is my favorite. In this video, I play several versions in emulators, including the HD Online release from 2013. I skipped the OG Xbox version in Xemu due to compatibility issues I was having with it. However you like to play SC2, it's a real gem, and worth your time.
Gears of War 3 in Xenia Canary

Trying out Gears of War 3 in the Xenia Canary emulator, with a Versus match against bots. It runs very well. It stutters at first due to shader caching, but if you play it long enough, it's smooth as butter. You can even unlock the frame rate.

A complete playthrough of NES Contra in the 3dSen emulator. It's a bit awkward. There's some noticeable input latency, and platforming can be really wonky. I'm surprised I didn't lose more lives than I did.
Fallen Aces: Early Access Gameplay

The FPS Fallen Aces dropped in Early Access today. I've been looking forward to this one. Reminds me of XIII mixed with Duke Nukem 3D, with a GoodFellas/Godfather atmosphere.

PrimeHack is a handy modified fork of Dolphin that lets you play the Metroid Prime series like a standard FPS. It also streamlines the motion controls required for MP3. Deus Ex is one of my all-time favorite games, but it's really old, and can be annoying to run on a modern PC. The PS2 version is mostly the same, with a few UI adjustments and more loading screens. Thanks to PCSX2, the PS2 version of this classic can be tweaked to look and run much sharper than on a real PS2. Here's a comparison video. I edited out the loading screens.

Thank you for the video! I used to run 'PS3Dec' via the terminal, to decrypt it. (Kind of a headache).The simpleGUI version + 'Wine' ran it perfectly on my Arch install. Makes this process a lot easier.
Crazy how far they've come with this. Can't wait to play gears 3 on my new rig.
@@DaXzOr I actually prefer it to playing on a real Xbox. With Xenia, you can unlock all the characters and weapon skins, including ones that were only available for a limited time, for Gears 3 without having to grind XP levels.

Coming from someone who's been playing Perfect Dark N64 nearly daily since he was 4... The PC port is 100% the definitive way to play Perfect Dark. It retains the original game's art style/atmosphere, music, and customization (the 360 remaster wouldn't even allow multiplayer bots to have an alien head with human body). The PC port lets you play with N64 controller (via Raphnet adapter), PS/Xbox controller, keyboard-only, or mouse + keyboard...
The problem I have with the Xbox version is they dulled all the colors. The PC port really makes them pop.

WayForward has been doing good work, with the River City Girls and Shantae games. "Double Dragon Neon" was good too, so I can see myself very interested in this one.
hey yeah. looks really rad. looks a lil to easy tho, but contra never did disappoint later on in the game.
To increase challenge it's best to play arcade mode on hard with 1 hit kills on(meaning you die in 1 hit from any enemy since you don't have a health bar for that).

So nostalgic. Great days! I was just visiting the place where I grew up and reminiscing about an old very small dodgy arcade that existed in a very small back alley back on the day. But I’d go there so often with friends after school to play pool and Sega Rally 2 and a couple other now classic arcade games from the same time.
