I know Knuckles being "the guardian of the chaos emeralds" was wrong, but its important to remember that was the case in the games before the knuckle add-on was released. The manual straight-up says he guards the emeralds.

I implore you to look at a translation of the Japanese version of this game (and all the games for that matter, cause jesus the shadow game is awful in english.) Perfect example is the reasoning why Caliburne is an asshole, and he clearly states in the sub that he will be very hard on him to help teach him how to be a knight. It's not out of the blue like in the english version.

Chris is just a TERRIBLE character in this episode! He was literally a witness who LITERALLY saw that the culprit was someone who looked like Sonic but wasn't! And yet instead of telling the cops this, he just tells Sonic to turn himself in! What a terrible character!

I think it's not that the evil twins are individually stronger than last time, my theory is that they are SO SCARED of Scourge's wrath that they are full of adrenaline and do NOT wanna get that guy angry at them by losing, which helps them fight better out of desperation. That's what I gather from when they got so scared then returned to the fight on the two panels after Scourge growled "You do NOT want to be stuck with me!"

Rouge saying to Topaz to tell Captain Westwood that she got distracted by the "jewels of the world exhibit" isn't only clever, but it's also pretty sweet. She's got a genuine friendship with Topaz here, and I love it.

How ironic. Shadow, in a sense, actually was trying to do some good by ridding them of Cosmo. yes, he could've explained, but I guess that's how he is, and on the other hand, Tails and the others should've considered the possibility that Shadow had a good reason. And they had everything backwards, since saving Cosmo, while not wrong, wasn't actually saving the day, it was actually dooming them to a worse fate that they didn't know of. Still, Cosmo was relatively innocent and didn't know, and even though it was Shadow's right, that doesn't make it right
