@rabunny-ym7oc you're very welcome, once again, for the praise. I just find your works so far to be one of those underappreciated masterpieces that more people just *have* to know about. I really can't get over how well done this is and how you've kept it all up for so long (which reminds me how I have no idea how I've kept my projects going for 8 and 4 years, alongside a bunch of others that didn't last very long-some of which I intend to someday pick back up). I really don't get how we're so similar and manage to just read each other like a book! I never really had a friend so similar to me-though I've had several who were just as close, but either kinda similar or totally different, giving us a contrasting complimentary feel, like Sans and Papyrus-I often feel more on Sans' side of that duo (or group in a few cases) Ooh! I just realized how the eye-shape look pretty similar to the four-pointed star you mentioned as Kuragari's symbol-which I'd guess was intentional. Oh, and there was another on the horns (I have the thumbnail in view right now BTW). I never really thought of having symbols for the Celesials and Eternals-and I probably won't-but I do have symbols for certain aspects of the world for the Chronicles (AKA the fantasy project). The symbols weren't like yours or those of the Greek/Roman gods-instead being symbols for the Elements (fire, water, air and earth) as well as light and shadow (which strongly resembled a sun and moon). Light and dark also had their worn symbols, which were either painted on the face and hands, or the Ancients could be born with them before they split up into the Sunborne and Nightwalkers-very few of which are still born with such symbols, especially now for the Nightwalkers after the extinction of a tribe calling themselves the Watching Eye (more on that later). I think I've mentioned the worn symbols before, but never their context. Each symbol kinda resembled each other-light is a set of three thin, yellow lines going upwards from the left eye (symbolizing beams of sunlight) and dark was worn as a single violet streak going along the right side of the face from the right eye. Both could be confused for each other by those who haven't seen one thanks to the prominent streak going down and slightly out from the eye of each symbol, both symbolizing tears (which was an aspect left over from the split, since the Ancients knew that suffering was a constant none can escape, even the Eternals). These symbols are worn by the leaders of both peoples, who are chosen in similar manners. The leaders of Sunborne society are chosen through a long bloodline of people capable of bending light-these leaders are the only ones capable of doing so, and are well guarded-but a legendary few went into battle with their legions, giving birth to legends of much braver Kings and Queens (these individuals garnered legends following them thanks to the fact that, despite being taught to fight with swords against a variety of weapons and foes, they never really entered wars, save the few who did. Gaining a reputation for being uncannily daring-but such monarchs were often the greatest in most fields, being wiser and leading their ages into better times than any other. Sadly, all but one died someday in one of the many battles thanks to particularly powerful Nightwalkers with better combat prowess than was thought). Those who rule gain their power over light and their society through their predecessor via the bloodline-leading to a tradition of passing down what the mother and father knew to their child-or whoever came next (as this wasn't *always* their child they taught, but was almost 9 times of 10). In the rare case that the bloodline could not be continued-whether it be because the current King and Queen could not have a child, or never did, or by some other event where the bloodline cannot continue-a new ruler is chosen via divine intervention from Solaris (one of two Celesials who is as old as the Ancients, but not a Titan-as the Eternals are much older). When this event happens, the child is marked by a symbol resembling the Sun upon their forehead and left hand. They will grow to resemble their predecessors-despite not being related-and will gain the same power the light. For example, the current monarch(s) was/were killed off before they could have a child and continue the bloodline, so a child is chosen on the summer solstice (the day a new ruler begins their teachings at the age of 10-leaving room for the basics like math and literature which are taught beforehand and continued until they become the new monarch. The summer solstice is also the day the new ruler becomes a monarch at about 25 when their teaching have mostly concluded (their predecessor(s) will continue to advise them alongside the council of viziers that normally accompany a ruler and their guards-the advisers are chosen based on those who are believed to be the wisest or most intelligent and are tested by the previous group while the guards are chosen based on the most selfless and learned in their weapon of choice. A side note is that the Sunborne originally forsook the ways of the Ancients, so they are a society made almost entirely of nonbenders, though those who can bend the elements are still valued in a myriad of jobs among the working class, and soldiers with such abilities are commonly found in legends. The rulers of Sunborne society are also taught a very unique method of combat based on bending. They are taught the sword for its versatility, and are taught to flow like water, stay quick and ready like wind, stand your ground like earth, and have a firey passion behind your strikes. These qualities are embedded into martial combat form similar to the mixed swordfighting of today (you can find a channel called Sellswordarts to get an idea of what some techniques might look like). Soldiers are taught a more basic form of this same method of combat, but they aren't told everything so they cannot easily overpower their ruler and take the throne for themselves. Since monarchs are taught techniques and not a specified form, each ruler develops their own style of combat, making it difficult, but not impossible to counter-since one can still try to manipulate how they'd react or learn how they fight, but the unique styling makes this method difficult. The Nightwalkers still have rulers, but they have multiple rulers-one for each tribe (as they are one people, but split up to avoid internal conflicts). Those who rule are chosen by who the current ruler thinks is best suited for their position-so there isn't a specific set of criteria one must meet. Since Nightwalkers have no lifespan and are effectively immortal as long as they don't suffer fatal injuries, bleed out, or get poisoned (though many don't work very well and just incapacitate them when humans or Sunborne would be dead) a standing ruler-called a Nihilar or Nyctosa (meaning center of nothing and center of shadow) can choose to resign or who was chosen takes their place in the event of their predecessor's death (despite the fact that they can come back, but it takes a long time, so someone else takes their place instead-this someone is chosen by the original ruler or the rest of the tribe). This has lead to cases where Nihilars alternated for centuries. The only tribe who didn't follow this tradition was the Watching Eye-who was considered the most powerful, but was also feared for the chaos and power they wielded. The Watching Eye is now "extinct" thanks to Solaris and a battle that broke out between Solaris and the Eye. One warrior wielded unprecedented power and struck Solaris with a blade no other could wield-scarring a Celestial for the first and only time in history. That warrior now survives with the exact same scar as the last living member of their tribe, as the masks of every other member were destroyed-leaving them now way to come back. I'm running out of time today, so I'll just tell ya that Nosk was that last survivor. Seeing as they are the mortal form of Omen, it makes sense to me that they'd be much harder to kill and would be much more capable than usual. Like an athlete compared to a normal human. As for the second character, that is xeraphim, an old weirdcore oc inspired by the concepts of biblically accurate angels, they are a rather miscellaneous oc that has managed to survive the test of time and I thought it would be fun to animate them. Again, they are an omnipotent angel character. And yes you did remember correctly! the other ocs featured in these animations are from tantilus. As for the colors, these aren’t their usual color palettes lol, I actually had to change the palettes to match the maps I was using them in because they had to follow a specific color palette. The oc in the first animation is named corrius and his original color palette is a more muted red and pink color gradient with a pale white face (the other tarifi are generally more muted tones of red or gray, occasionally an unsaturated purple or pink will appear in their fur patterns as well but gray is predominantly the most common color followed by red) As for the names an lore that is a rather extensive topic for these characters specifically that has undergone a lot of development in the past; I won’t get to into it right now but in the first animation it’s exhibiting corrius and his feelings of remorse and hatred for his lost family that is shown on the portrait in the third shot, and in the third animation wip it’s corrius again and the character attacking him is his son Torril who was prophesied to end corrius’s reign over tantilus by killing him on the eve of the bloodmoon (corrius has very complicated lore but he is essentially the villian of the story after he became progressively more corrupt upon discovering the influence of forbidden dark magic upon which he manipulated the kingdom and the people in it to gain more power and control, hence why torril knew he had to end his father’s tyranny as much as it hurt to do so (corrius was never a good father anyways… quite the opposite actually) Also you’re pretty much spot on for the name! That is a very intuitive assumption given I used the word “tantalize” and “Tartarus” as well (a name for the underworld) and combined them to fit the themes of the world hence creating the title “Tantilus” to express the hostile, tumultuous, yet intriguing world that I was building See you whenever you comment next! Anyways, I also wanted to mention that we seem to have made yet another pair of similar characters! (almost seems fake, doesn't it? I'd understand if you don't believe me, I almost don't believe myself!). My rendition is fairly different, but I consider them close enough to warrent this random explanation. (I would like to note that this character is one of many in a separate horror project to the fantasy world I've been telling you about already, so there's different lore-and it's set in an altered version of Earth, so keep those in mind, because the lore is confusing and I wouldn't want you getting all confuzzled over how these fit together and the sudden swap to horror. Got all that now? Then you're probably good to go! Again, there is a *lot* of lore here, so things may he confusing for a while-even after explanations!) Okay, so, actually starting this, the character is a man known mostly as NTS throughout his many notes, and otherwise as Admin [------] or Admin N-S01 in the research reports-depending on whether they consor the ID or not, which they usually do since NTS is the highest up the ladder of the Organization-which is kinda like the SCP Foundation in a way, but darker after one looks under the surface, since they contain and research entities, use their DNA and construct chromosomes to edit humans with, creating more monsters known as Immortals in something creatively named Project Immortal (and sometimes the Immortal Genome Project). NTS (oh right, his real name is- oh, wait, I'm not supposed to tell you that. /j, I have a real name for him, ppl are just supposed to figure it out-anyways-) NTS is conducting these experiments on humans to supposedly create the "perfect organism" out of humans and the oh, so terrifying things they keep capturing-but some members of personnel are a bit suspicious of him. NTS often hops between realities to maintain his experiments, recieve reports, watch seveillance videos for further info, conduct experiments to graft genes together into stable chromosomes (sometimes using void liquid and/or energy to do so or add properties to further stabilize the resulting monstrosities) and trying to maintain his laboratory floating in the inky abyss of the Void (yes, it's confusing, but "the Void" is the place between realities while just "void" is the liquid, energy, or solid, which is eventually used in the creation of Immortals after the discovery that it can affect the human body and mind to change them-which creates similar results to Agony, but sorta controllable (I'll explain of ya want me to, it'll just be a lot of reading since I'll need to explain how they work). NTS is trying to create the "perfect organism," but he's got a reason behind it, and the maintenance of a very important stasis machine is the only thing giving him any time. Over time (sort of, since different realities are running at different speeds and therefore at different times, so "over time" in NTS's perspective) the Immortals become more stable, more intelligent, harder to kill, and capable of more and more-effectively making them better and better killing machines, which is very bad since they mostly have little to no regard for human life and kill for either food (thanks to being stuck on a strictly carnivorous diet, being aggressive to humans or any life at all for various reasons, or just enjoying killing humans. The entities are the same way, if you were wondering). Termination of an Immortal is considered a last resort only, since their study is top priority-thanks to this, no Immortal has been terminated by Organization personnel, although attempts were made against two of them: a robotics experiment to create a security drone know as B2, who experienced an error and went rogue, leading to it being fried via overload, later came back and was crushed in a metalworks machine with a human, and later came back as a Springtrap-esque monstrosity that follows the main character home and is finally killed when the home burns down due to a gas leak caused by the main character (yes, FNAF reference)- the other Termination was against an Immortal known as K-47-A72, or the Imitator, which was first frozen in Antarctic waters, later half of it was blown up while the other snuck into the forests of North America to become an SCP 610 like hivemind superorganism called the Parasite, which had to be burned down, since study was bear impossible-as was containment, which it would eventually breach if left to its own devices-finally, it returned to its original research site-which had been left abandoned in the Antarctic tundra for a few decades now-the Imitator took on yet another new name: Biomass, which had become a miserable amalgamation of semi-consious humans in constant pain, looking for a way to return to humanity somehow (which isn't possible for Immortals, since their DNA cannot be reverted without causing fatal changes or outright killing the subject). These two beings were the only two which were ordered to be terminated, which did happen, but their adaptable nature (and other events that affected many other aspects of the story) made it almost impossible to kill them until they so far from their original state, that they had evolved to a peak form, and then regressed into a more dangerous, but more vulnerable being. Anyways, back to NTS, he was trying to create all sorts of things to aid his purpose for the Organization, which was a personal goal that would lead to other developments in technology and genetic modification that would likely never exist for centuries without his (literal) genius. The only issue was that he could never age thanks to the time negating effects of void on certain subjects, which he used to create the aforementioned stasis machine and a genetic incubator for the Immortal genes-wh8ch used void to speed up the stabilization and testing process before a living human subject was used, which involved letting the genes be absorbed by various human cells and waiting for a reaction-which determined whether it was a success and moved on to the next stage or not. Only NTS was ever allowed in the lab, instead crossing directly between realities if needed or remaining on-site, as these were supposed to remain secret until a totally successful subject was created. Only one other person was allowed within the Void, which was because its timeless properties allowed the stasis machine to operate without input, but it was moved outside the Void to a safe reality and void was placed within it to give it the same properties-life support systems were also installed in order to allow it to sustain its subject for longer periods in a sleeplike state, making them blissfully unaware of the horrors that would be seen otherwise, which was absolutely necessary thanks to the subject it was sustaining. NTS has a lore bound fate that I'd gladly tell more about, along with more about other Immortals and their stories, and even more about some of the the entities-which the main character encounters a few of, and nearly dies to in many cases. There's a lot of complex lore and hidden pieces to NTS's story-which I will say is quite tragic in my opinion-which are woven into the stories of the Immortals and even hidden carefully in his notes he leaves behind-some of which are read directly, others are mentioned in reports, and some aren't ever found. NTS even has bits of more speculative story hidden in small details, like him inscribed ir writing his initials in places of interest he's been to or on objects he had or had interest in, like notebooks, tools, weapons, and all sorts of things. The main character also eventually encounters him in the Void, but only if the "player" (since I intend for audiences to interact with the story and find the canon endings and story bits themselves) goes down the right path and finds a way into the Void and his lab, even discovering the reason he's doing all this

(I will also mention a few extra details that don't have a particular place here) A. If he's not working, he's working on something else less important as a hobby, writing down ideas, making blueprints, tinkering, messing around with void just because, and constantly constructing complex music boxes with various tunes, some are a little classical, others are peaceful, others are made to be lullabies, and one was made for a special individual and was called the Symphony of Silence, a slow, quiet sombre song with three sections playing a part of the song at once, intended to played during storms and imbued with protective properties using void as a catalyst B. NTS is kind of a psychopath, lacking much empathy for others and able to totally disregard anything unless it's either in his way or about that aforementioned special individual, in which case he'll tend to the issue immediately C. Despite mostly working with entities, anomalies and the Immortals, NTS also tinkers with machines of various types. Most of the things he works on are music boxes and machines with a distinct purpose-like B2, a security drone, or advanced prosthetics, and a special lens called the Terror Reader, which links to the user's optic nerve and various parts of the brain upon being worn like a contact lens (yes, it hurts quite a bit to install, but it's automated, so surgery isn't needed). The lens is a work in progress, but is able to be worn by the main character-one gains partial access to the entire catalogue of entities and Immortals, though certain items are restricted behind upgrades, passwords, and biometric keys-so a large portion is inaccessible, meaning one only gains partial information D. NTS developed strange properties of his own, able to walk trough shadows, give a sense of a cold and fearful, but calm air around him, and all entities or Immortals with any void within them totally ignore any aggression towards him and just chill, instead sharing his curious nature, which has been helpful to his studies

Anyways, *ridiculously* long lore thing (mostly) concluded, I'm open to any questions (please be specific, it takes much longer to write about this project than my fantasy world since the lore is like a knot tied by a million excited second graders-big, confusing, and difficult to untie). I have a lot of thought here in the specific stuff like I always do, like how the serial codes work (like K47-A72) and the basic hierarchy of the Organization. There's all kinds of crazy lore and inner workings and nonsense like that-and don't worry if it gets confusing at any point, most people need a few reruns before they get it, so I already understand how much more confusing this is. Don't worry, I'm not swapping to this horror project, as I work on both projects side by side. It's a lot slower than working on one thing at a time, but it means I can keep both going for much longer, plus I can't decide which I'd rather continue if I had to give up one, so I'm auto-biased to have multiple at once. I’m not sure who that is but it sounds like it’s from anime/anime Japanese thing and my knowledge about anime is sad lmao 😭😭😭 (anime is cool I just don’t watch much omg sorry I’m ranting now why am I ranting about anime haha) thank you for commenting though! any similarity in design is purely coincidental in this case edit: I looked up the character and I can definitely see how the palette and kimono thingy is reminiscent of her design, again just a coincidence! I’ve never seen this character before or watched demon slayer lmao
