So Elsa trapped the Bishop into accepting the miracle or drinking the poison. Shrewd girl. I bet the Church recognizes her shrewdness in the future as well. The village now has a business to make money year round, cookies, and Holo got to eat lots of cookies. The new deal is the Bishop endorses Tereo and grants them an exclusive on backing cookies. So they won't be lazy all winter. The village is saved and Holo even got to spend a few more days reading old pagan legends. All is well that ends well. Elsa even got a little bit bold with Holo there at the end. Guess she's over thinking Holo is actually a god. Still, probably a good thing for a wolf girl to have a friend in the Church just in case. You never know. The Church might still decide to burn them at the stake for some reason. Or Lawrence and Holo may someday need a priest that is okay with marrying a man and wolf. Either way, Elsa may be a good person to know. Does Lawrence look a little older? It's been maybe 3 or 4 months now that he's been traveling with Holo and he's almost been killed now 3 times. Maybe that will age a man a bit faster then usual. Wonder what his face looked like in that little segment at the end bet he looked about 15 years older there. The journey continues onward towards Lenos. Where Holo made an absolute legend out of herself the last time she was there. Girl has a tendency to do that. I mean the entire city of Ruvenheigen is named after a guy who was made a saint because he did battle with a pagan wolf god (though it turns out what really happened was he insulted Holo's tail and she bit him on the arse). Plus she was the goddess of harvest of Pasloe for a few centuries. Makes you wonder, if Holo's pack did survive the Moon Hunting Bear, why haven't we heard any legends of them? Or was she that girl in her family that was always stirring sh*t up everywhere she went while the rest of them stayed low-key? Guess we'll find out more in Season 2 Assuming that little mini-wolf girl comes back tomorrow after Lawrence puts her to bed and wants to hear more stories.

Crazy good episode

I had to google it but apparently the show is correct that most people didn't wear underwear in the middle ages. I guess that's why they went absolutely insane with many layers of under garments by the Victorian era. But back around the 12th or 13th centuries when this show would be taking place, Holo would indeed have been free ballin' it the whole time. Evan is going to have to ask his priest/girlfriend for forgiveness and pay some penance for taking that peek at Holo though no doubt. Elsa and Evan got to sleep up against Holo with her tail as a blanket. They are the luckiest people alive. Elsa wanted to ask the question Father Franz was seeking an answer to, is my God real? But Holo wisely told her that question should not be asked of her. Then Elsa made the choice Holo was not able to make and it made her angry. Survivors guilt can be a hell of a thing. Holo wants to save Tereo because she never got a chance to fight to try and save her home. So it is time for a Holo Miracle to prove the wheat is safe. Then a merchant to negotiate a deal to satisfy both sides. Well, maybe Holo threatening to kill Evan swiftly and swallow him whole was enough penance for trying to take a little peek at her. Still that's for Elsa to decide though. But it looks like they will get the chance to live that life Lawrence could see for them that made him feel a little bit envious earlier though. Next week can Holo work her magic to perform a miracle that Elsa can convince the Bishop only God could be responsible for? The goddess of harvest should no doubt be able to tell poisoned wheat from safe wheat, and apparently Evan is going to eat some to prove it. Lets hope they can put on a convincing show. Oh, Lawrence's magic is the best magic of all! His solution is something no one sees coming!

Darn right! Everyone other then Lima, Elsa, and Evan are good for nothing in that Village. Even Sem the village elder admits he's old and his health isn't great so he's just been letting the village go without any proper management. Lima has been giving Elsa food to keep her alive while she's been busting her backside to rally support to try and keep the village from being crushed. To the point where she's passing out from all the stress Plus, just imagine Holo discovering after all that trouble, her entire village was barely worth a couple lines in that very large book. Not only another piece of evidence that her worst fears are reality (except this book did suggest her pack escaped), but her home and her kind are barely a foot note in all these old legends. She's putting on a front, but you know from that comment she made to Elsa about her home not being gone tomorrow, and that joke about not being lumped in with 'such weak creatures' as fairies with Lima there's some major emotions building up. The plan is to go back to Kumerson and seek refuge at the Rowen Merchant guild in that town. But there's two whole episodes left so... maybe they'll think of a way to turn things around. I mean, you'd think Holo could tell good wheat from bad given she is a goddess of the harvest. I mean, she was able to instantly tell the sub par purity of Marc's flour last arc. Next week though... if they do that chapter right... it will be perhaps the best episode of the season.
