Just because I don’t rap doesn’t mean I can’t have some idea of what makes skilled lyricism. I said the Optimus prime line was kinda lazy and in the video of Lupe creating this song he thought of it immediately and went with it because he couldn’t think of anything better. Just because fans dont make art doesn’t mean we have to think its all well made

Just because we can’t rap doesn’t mean we can’t criticize rappers. You had to come to the conclusion that he’s a lyrical genius based on his lyrics. So why is it wrong for me to come to the conclusion that one of his lyrics could’ve maybe been better

The point is why is it wrong for people who can’t rap to critique it. If you dont want to think about why you think that then cool. Im just wondering. Also why is it only a problem when its negative. Why is it not a problem when I say lupe is a lyrical genius, I dont rap, I have no idea what im talking about so I shouldnt say that right? I just dont get why you think its a problem to criticize rappers without being one
