I never entirely found out how the Alternate item progression worked. It disables buying upgrades so you have to find some unique scrap? and selling it in order to added to late game upgrade progression? never got it to work despite living to day 17 If I understood what it’s trying to tell me in the config settings would be nice, I probably need to change “custom scrap” to something specific I’m assuming.

This would be such a fun item if it had a rework, I think what I would do is pretty simple. It’s way cheaper and only has a few uses, but you don’t have to take the time to hold down and inhale it, you just click and you’ve taken a hit. When you take a hit you immediately have the adrenaline screen effect with some audio impairment as well, but you can run faster. After the effects are gone, you go slower than usual for a while. The more hits you take the more these effects will multiply. I feel like that would do a better job at what the item already tries to do. Of course later in the game it would get replaced by the jetpack, but I feel like it should basically be a more affordable early mobility tool that isn’t too awkward to use.

I have an issue when playing it on the steam deck with the controller, im always sprinting and i cant use my items. Do you also have the same issue?

If anyone is playing modded, get mikes tweaks. It makes stamina last longer and drain slower, makes the player faster, and gives you 2 extra item slots (I believe the slots are configurable)

How do you install this mod? I have dragged the Scopophobia.dll file into my plugins yet i havent seem him. do i need to extract before transfering or do i need to also add the scp096 file to the plugins folder?

Reserved item slots are cheats, not quality of life improvements.

This thing is almost always empty before we could use it with my friends, we would test it out a bit then we can't inhale anymore it just shakes, idk if you can refill it or not but if it's limited it's really not worth it
