Before anyone feels bad at the end The plague dogs is based off a book and the book has a happy ending where the dogs are picked up by some fishermen then live a happy ending on the island. And if you stay in the end credits you will see the inland.

eh, this is kinda funny, but i don't really see it going anywhere

The smaller white and light brown dog at the end saying lets swim to the island, reminds me of the blind leading blind, in the dogs naivety, blind faith and wishful thinking he leads the other dog across into the ocean and they still have hope regardless of them fatiguing and losing arm and leg drive to keep them a float, although the dogs probably wouldn’t of attempted it at the beginning since the smaller dog hadn’t experienced the accidental stepping on of the man’s double barrelled shotgun blasting the man’s face to shreds and the waiting out in the snow while the buzzard flew over head signifying their death, so they would have been in a state of hyper-vigilance and survival when in this final scene. Interesting movie!
