Cordon Trellis Method For Growing Currants and Gooseberries
The cordon trellis method offers a way to grow currants and gooseberries in narrow upright rows and reduce the labor needed for harvesting these berries. But it's expensive to build the trellis and labor-intensive to prune and train plants to the trellis system. In this video I describe a four-year trial of the cordon trellis on a commercial organic fruit farm in southwest Wisconsin.
