As in "case" you mean the packaging? I dont store any controllers in the packaging. Goes right in the trash can. The button issue on mine is not due to any dust or anything of that nature, its from poor QC. When I swapped out the B button you could see it was not deburred properly in the factory so air wont solve this issue.

Exactly that. It just snapped right off at the weld.

@@DarkWolfWRX Would you do me a favor and see if Perrin's intake will work with BMS's heat shield box? I recently heard that Perrin's will not work with the ETS box because the Perrin tube is a bit longer

Im actually going to be using that setup, but my heat shield has been cut to fit the Perrin intercooler. I wont be getting into the car to swap it out for another couple weeks though as comic con is this weekend haha.

@@DarkWolfWRX So your BMS heatshield is cut on the bottom right to fit the Perrin FMIC. But what I'm wondering about is if the BMS will fit over the top of the new intake filter, so I don't think any cuts you mentioned are gonna matter. Will be interesting. Thanks!

@@DarkWolfWRX like to flash the e85 tune we js drive until empty tank then flash the map and fill it up with full e85 right?

Yeah just run it empty, toss in E85, an flash map. It's also recommended to swap back to premium pump gas and map ever 2 or three tanks to keep the fuel system from gumming up since E85 likes to do that.

You slice the stock rubber shroud with a razer and it conforms to the new IC. My guess was to keep cost down a tad.

I havnt got it back on the dyno since swapping intercoolers and revamps. I am now on a FMIC.

Do you have an automatic? If so I am not sure the answer there. You can reach out to Perrin and they should be able to sort you out.

I dont have the D2, but the Ultra is not too loud. I run all my printers right behind me at my dest at work, i barely notice them.

The button died fairly quickly after the first button swap I did. I then just let it set for awhile before making another video, hence the dust. Ive already wrote the controller and Gulikit off. They failed to support their customers and product so I moved on.

Zero issues to report. All has been strong and it still sounds great!

They are prone to heat soak but it seems not as bad as the VA. Ive since moved onto the Perrin FMIC as even with the TMIC I was getting heat soak with my higher power maps.

@@DarkWolfWRX oh I see tbh I’m new to this platform I use to own a focus st I remembered the stock intercooler was garbage but the vb platform Im trying to see if the stock intercooler how much hp it can handle before upgrading to prevent heat soaks stuff like that

@@STEELERSMSR I had an ST prior to my VA(an now VB) as well! Should be good to around 300whp on the stocker. Maybe a bit more but with how these cars are finicky with tunes its better to just go ahead and pull the trigger on the upgrade when you tune so you dont have to retune if you want that IC later. We dont have MAP sensors like we did on the ST so these cars must have tunes for the mods we toss on.

You can but the knob on the oem unit does not function in that case.

You can get the valve by calling or emailing them. They are not on the website yet. The hoses arent too bad once you figure out the proper one to tap into. The pink/yellow line if i recall right.

To be honest I dont recall the pairing method. But I had no issue actually pairing it up when I did. Just had to make sure it was on the switch mode.

As in no clearance between the strut bar and intercooler? If not addressed it can rub a hole into the incercooler.
