Local multiplayer is in the works, and most functions already work. I am uncertain at this current time how I would allow people to join each other without being on the same router / network.

@@ChimmyChimChannel maybe , if the game gonna launched on steam , you can use steam's data base , or simply do port forward to play with friends and that what I'm doing right now and I'm also making a multiplayer survival game

@octansilva554 I have experimented with Steamworks, but I've been having issues with my multiplayer because it only works if I load both instances of my game on the same machine and type my ipv4 and not on separate devices. I haven't been able to fully use Steam yet because of this issue.

I am using Aseprite. Which is a paid program. No subscriptions required.

It would be a nice way of transportation. I'm not fully sure if I will do portals, but I may add something similar. That is something to consider adding to my game though. I appreciate your suggestion!

Yes, I have used the profiler. I found out that a lot of the lag is coming from a method I made to make the terrain use the appropriate sprites for the cells around the edges of terrain. I made enough optimizations for it to not lag nearly as much as it did. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Sometimes games look similar to each other, however, either game can still have differences that make them unique, regardless of how similar the idea or the graphics are. If you have a project that you are working on that looks like mine, keep working on it! Still a funny joke regardless! I do have many unfinished projects...

I tried making a game that doesn't already exist. You'll always find some other game that looks or functions like your idea, no matter what the idea

I'm planning on re doing most, if not all, the sprites in my game eventually. Currently, I'm fighting with optimization for mobile users.

Sorry, I understand that it is jarring being shown different features so quickly. The reason why I do it is so I dont make people bored telling them all the steps on how I made every feature. I'm not sure if I can achieve this goal of hopefully making it constantly entertaining while at the same time not making it jarring to watch. I'll see if I can make it better in any way in the next video. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on my video!

I'm glad you like my project! I did fail to mention that the game is for pc and mobile in both of my videos. The button on computers will be controlled by the mouse wheel instead. I still appreciate your suggestion for the button. My world is infinite, and is seed based. For top down 2D world generation, I'd suggest looking into FastNoiseLite which is built into Godot 4. I would also look into Tilemaps, and the set_cells_terrain_connect() method if you are using GD script. My terrain generator moves with the player in a grid, as it moves, it triggers the world to regenerate, and changes the position of the noise to the new position to make it look like the player is just walking on a pre-generated world. This will start to lag quickly the more you generate at once.

Sorry, I typically don't do tutorials. I can give you tips on how mine works instead. Are you referring to the code or how to make the art?

I definitely agree about adding more enemies, and I will try to add more to my game. Transportation like a horse or a sailboat is a good idea, I think I will be able to add those. Bosses are something I will have to think more about to see how I would implement them, I will certainly consider this boss idea. Biomes are something I've been hoping to add soon. Thank you for your suggestions, and I am glad that you like my design!

I did add the bed to the game already, It just has no functionality in the game yet. I did have a fuel system for the furnace, but I removed it because it was too buggy. I will attempt to fix those bugs again and add it back in. Thank you for the suggestions, though.

I might upload it. Currently I don't think I will because it permanently deletes any file you put in it, which makes accidents or bugs to be very scary.

@@ChimmyChimChannel put all the files in a locked file you can only access by resetting the game.
