Tour Of Annapolis Royal Gardens With Over 400 Years Of History In The Most Fought Over Land

This is our first time in Nova Scotia and we didn't know much about it. So going to Annapolis that was known historically as an important sea port was a great place to visit. Our first stop was the Royal Historical Gardens which had roses that were blooming and had a wonderful aroma. There was a nice assortment of plants to see there. Then we stopped by Fort Anne to learn a little history of No...
A Little Tricky Finding Crooked Creek Falls But We Discovered A Nice Covered Bridge / New Brunswick

This is certainly what our channel is all about. We make plans to go do one thing and end up finding something else. We discovered some nice covered bridges one with a waterfall and the light houses we visited were so short. We also helped out with some road maintenance. Also we got to see a Moose running across the road.
Experiencing Worlds Highest Tide & Other Natural Wonders At Bay Of Fundy In New Brunswick

Fundy Bay National Park was our first stop on our excursion through Canada and I have looking forward to visiting here for sometime. After a stop at St. Martins Sea Cave we finally arrived but not after Google set us on a wild goose chase. This was certainly a great place to stop and visit. Lots of hiking and seeing the tide was wild. High and low tide was very dramatic and looked like you were...
Horrible First Experience At The Canadian Border Also Beware Following Google Directions

This was a terrible way to cross into Canada. We didn't have a clue what was going on and why the Border Agents were searching everything. So learn from our mistake when going into Canada or you'll end up getting poked. Also beware of following Google directions. We have noticed that it is doing a really bad job taking us down roads that are terrible just to supposedly save gas.
Will A Lifted Tacoma Be Up For The Challenge Towing A Camper For Such A Great Distance

This will be our first long haul in our 2016 Toyota Tacoma. We are towing a 2019 No Boundaries Camper to Canada in the Providence of New Brunswick. Our plans are going to be to stay at Fundy National Park for a couple of nights before heading on to Novia Scotia. The journey will start at Kentucky and were going to make only one stop so we can spend more time exploring Canada.
Rough Time Installing 3 Inch Rough Country Lift On A Tacoma

We just recently bought a 2016 Toyota Tacoma and wanted to install a lift kit. With lots of research we decided to go with a three inch lift using Rough Country Suspension. We had Blistein installed in two other vehicles and wasn't that impressed with them so we decided to try another brand of shocks. After about five thousand miles of driving so far we really like the Rough Country. There is s...

Gettting a new truck on our adventure to Arkansas wasn't what we had planned on but here we are with a smaller truck then before. So we were still getting used to it. We went out to get water at an old homestead then tried the truck out in some deep water. Not the best idea then stopped to explore a waterfall. This was an attraction on my bucket list that we finally got a chance to see and it didn't disappoint at all. Riding a golf cart through a cave was a blast. The trail is very scenic with large waterfalls and interesting bridges to drive on. The second attraction wasn't as thrilling so we were glad we saved money buying the pass.

Bro not it is a tree 😂
That is a very nice area for sure
Cause by lava? Is there any volcano in the area
Not that I know of except for the other side of the state.
There's a phrase I bet you never thought you'd say: "Focus on the moose and not the rain."😄😄
Lol 😆
God ordered 200 of His angels to chop the giant trees down.. leave the stumps and roots. So the giants couldn’t climb to safety during Noah’s Ark. book of Enoch describes the events. That giant tree trunk is proof. The Freemasons even mocked God with its name. Devils tower. Fee fi fo Fum.. Jack and the beanstalk was inspired by the real event. 😮
It has been awhile since I have read Enoch but it had a interesting take on history.
Nice video! Poliholi is a beautiful beach but there are very strong undertows there when the waves are big like they were that day! Please be very safe and careful swimming out there and learn about the undertows and how to swim around them. If you catch it on a nice calm day that water is heavenly, clear and generally safe. But once we found someone on the beach who had drowned due to rough ocean conditions. Please everyone remember to exercise caution and safe judgement before entering any body of water!❤
Thank you and we appreciate the advice. That was very tragic to find someone who drowned. I had a bad experience at the beach when I was a kid and ill never forget it. I learned not to take any body of water for granted.
Some really scenic places you go to
Thanks
I believe it’s trees as well.
Thanks for watching
I removed the timbrens on my truck. The ride was just to harsh. The timbrens don't allow for some articulation between the truck and trailer. It helps level the truck, but you should be able to do that with the WDH. If not, your tongue weight is to heavy for your truck. I was 140 lbs over on the rear axle weight. Removed the timbrens and adjusted the WDH to put more weight on the front axle. Now I'm 250 lbs lighter on the drive axle.
Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you in regards to the timbrens but at least you found a solution.
Them Caves look awesome to go looking through
It was a fun experience and we are already looking forward to when we can return.

We loved our time up there. We camped just above St. Martins in a newly built campground. We enjoyed the sea caves and the town but also loved the lighthouse. I hope to go back in the future and explore some more.
We feel the same way. Had a lot of fun and look forward to going back. The weather was so nice as well.

I agree! It's definitely a tree. An ancient possibly biblical tree.

Canada has serious government problems, always has.
You are certainly not alone on that one. The US political system is a mess.
Canadian border guards have no common sense, one look at you two they should have just waved you through, they enjoy making peoples lives difficult
I agree with you and believe they went overboard with holding us up. We ended being detained for like an hour.
By skipping the Parkway you missed one of the best scenic drives
We will definitely have to return back to see it. We really enjoyed that area and would like to hike to the Narrows.
Since the two of you don't seem to know how to travel thru borders, it would be best in the future to not leave your country!
Since you don't know how to leave a nice comment you shouldn't leave any.
@@notaboutthedestination5693 Just speaking the honest truth. Good Lord, people should educate thenselves before crossing any border as to what you should and shouldn't do. It just make good common sense.
How do you know that we didnt do that. You just assume things without listening like those were supplements not prescription. Everything we brought with us we went through TSA with no problems. They were just looking for something to do. That is why we made the video in the first place because it's not on the info for crossing the border.
@@notaboutthedestination5693 You should have known that any type of pill even if it is a supplement needs to be in their original containers when crossing the border. You come across in your video as a typical arrogant American who thinks because they are an American that they aren't subject to any form of investigation when trying to enter another country.
@@notaboutthedestination5693 yada yada yada, blah blah blah that’s right make excuses for not being extra prepared when crossing a international border, what happened at the TSA or what happened when you crossed into Mexico or into Florida does not mean it’s gonna be the same when you cross into Canada or back into Mexico or back at the TSA, wow what a bunch of stupid answers, I think you should try to get into turkey. I think you’ll do real well over there.
That border crossing stuff cuts both ways - I've had difficult experiences both ways . . .
I wasn't going to be happy if I got poked both ways lol 😆
Welcome to Canada!
Thank you I think!
OMG! Why would you go through TSA or Borders with your meds like that??? Just asking for trouble. Also, being overly friendly and joking around is a red flag for them.
Not meds supplements except for one faded prescribition bottle. We just got back from a trip crossing TSA 6 times no issues with the same set up.
Typical Csnadian border crossing experience. If you are from NV a third world or Asian country, with no passport, no money, your welcomed, put up in a hotel, given money, healthcare. If you are a law abiding, self sufficient tourist (or even a Canadian tax paying citizen coming home), you are “raked over the coals”. Can’t even blame Trudeau/Castro for this as the Canadian border people have always treated citizens like 💩 !!!!
I am glad to hear someone else say that. Most people seem to miss that important fact. They believe the lie the Gov is your friend and what's to protect you. Not what is actually happening. But that is one deep rabbit hole though.
wtf is this junk
What junk?

Beware Canadian Daddy Government! Turdo and his minions think they know whats best for destroying Canada!
It's terrible what's happening to Canada and the rest of the world.
Canadian crossing guards seemed to think we are there poaching their jobs or somehow extorting money from Canadian. We were exhibiting at a trade show at the Montreal CC and showed guards the fliers from Montreal - in French and English. The woman said she does not know the term “trade show” and we were pulled off to the side. They mostly made us wait in a separate area while they confirmed our hotel reservations over the phone. About an hour. They were polite about it but unsure if necessary. If all signs point to NO THREAT, then move onto the next potential target.
All signs didn't point to NO THREAT. They were just trying to confirm if you were going to work in Canada or not. Canadians would be subjected to the same thing if entering USA for a trade show event.
@@KyleLutes-vn1rt I appreciate your perspective. I was perplexed why they would make that assumption, as if everyone who crosses the border wants to stay. Others at the show had similar experiences. Regardless, we spent ~$15K on hotel accommodations, food and entertainment at week without taking any work. I cannot be certain you would subject to the same scrutiny if entering the US under similar circumstances. Probably not but I don’t want to make any assumptions. P.S. that was the first and seemingly last time that show will be held in Canada. Google IMS2025 if interested.
As a Canadian i apologize for the ridiculous border crossing requirements. It's a real joke how they detain reasonable people with outdated checks making entry for descent folks ridiculous. It is a really beautiful country. We need to welcome visitors with open arms.
Congratulations, you have won the "I am a Canadian hating , Canadian" for the month of August.
@@dogmaticagnostic7716 not hating my country or fellow citizens but just the system. Its just outdated and convoluted. Proud to be Canadian just not proud of the system
Alert everyone someone making baseless comments again. It's not hate to hold your gov accountable but your responsibility. I agree with you this was a little bit much to go through for some melatonin. In the end they just asked what's this and we told them. You can't even cross the border with a criminal background so they were definitely going fishing. I think they wanted something to do.
Meanwhile the illegal migrant-mercenaries pour over the borders, north and south, without any searches at all, or testing for disease (during covdemic), but tax paying citizens who are no threat get reamed - wtf? Our governments have been taken-over by the enemy, and are now weaponized against us.
coming back into canada as a canadian is a nightmare for us.
I would of thought that wouldn't be the case. Fortunately going back to the US wasn't an issue.
Screw Canada!!! Plenty to do on this side of the border, spend your money here.
It's the Government that needs to back off for sure.
I cant eat potato chips as they cause my throat to close up just like you discribed.
Sorry to hear that, it is an awful experience.
Get TOMTOM as a truck driver who at one point was in a truck with five different GPS units and I checked them all out TOMTOM was the only one that had me going on a sensible route
Thank you for the info we appreciate it. Google maps has been causing us a lot of issues trying to save a minute by having us go down some horrible road. It is certainly making life more difficult.
Welcome to Canada. Common knowledge to ensure all meds are clearly labeled in bottles of origin. I am only an hour from the ND border, and get there often. I ensure any meds (I am on heart meds) are in their proper packages. Expect to get poked going home if your meds/supplements are in pouches and they find them.
It is common sense. They had a small pharmacy of random unlabeled pills on them.
@@keithpalmer4547 Americans often lack common sense when they travel in another country.
Prescription yes supplements were not listed on the web page. It was just what the melatonin looked like they had an issue with. But in the end they just asked what it was.
Good gravy we have an American hater Not everyone in the US is the same. You are being prejudice. Would you like someone to make unpleasant comments about you like how long did you mask up for maybe you killed to many brain cells.
@@notaboutthedestination5693 An American hater? Maybe if they are too stupid to realise to keep all pills in their package of origin. I was not being insulting, merely stating it is common sense to carry everything in package of origin. Loose too many brain cells not masking up during covid - now I am being insulting. I have too many family and friends in ND, SD and MN to be an American hater. Great people all.
You seem to be driving real fast on a dirt road.
We tend drive little faster then most. Lots of time on back roads.
no way thats some blow out you had the tyre is almost gone from the rim
It also did a number on our camper to.
Just left devils tower it was absolutely breathtaking. I also feel that it is a giant tree stump. 🌳
Hope the westher was decent. It can get hot up in that area.
What’s the year and mileage of your Tacoma?
It's a 2016 with 100 000 miles on it.
Do you have a tune on you taco? Or is it stock ?
I thought I responded twice but it seems to disappear. It is stock!
Nice job doing it yourself, and cool to see the wife helping ya. I thought your truck was newer than mine but mines actually a year newer haha looks great. Cheers !
Thanks! Did you install a lift on yours? My wife really enjoys stuff like that. She likes using power tools as much as I do lol 😆
Hey man, I saw the St Martins sea caves on your thumbnail and thought I'd check out your video, I live in New Brunswick and am always riding in the Sussex area. I also have the same truck as you but I believe yours is newer (mines 2017) the Taco's are awesome trucks, not the best for towing/fuel economy but it was nice to see you pulling a decent size trailer, I'm actually thinking of doing the same now that I have two kids. Anyway I'm hoping there is a Pt2to this video. Cheers ! and thanks for visiting.
We really enjoyed your area so much and plan on returning as soon as possible. The border crossing was terrible though. That is going to be our next video then after that I will have a Fundy video. We also discovered your awsome covered bridges while on our adventures. That video will be coming down the pike. If you have any questions about camping or campers don't hesitate to ask.
Definitely get a Scangauge 2! Monitor oil temp, coolant temp, transmission pan temp and transmission converter temp. Elect ECT mode to in the Taco.
Is Scangauge 2 the one you recommend? We wanted to get one before our trip but couldn't decide which one was best. Sad to say I just figured what that switch was lol. 😆
@@notaboutthedestination5693 Any new Scangauge 2 with the latest software work in the Tacoma. If you go to their website, all the codes are there. Very easy job and extremely useful data when towing.
Maybe add some info like- How heavy is the trailer.-What were your transmission temps_ What did your MPG equate to...?
That is something I need to improve on. The wieght of the trailer is 3500 dry and the Tacoma tows 6500 with a payload of 1000. Sad to say I don't have transmission temp but over 60 miles an hour I was getting around 8 to 10 miles per gallon depending on the grade of hills. Then under 60 I was getting above 12 miles to the gallon. The truck does really well on back roads. Dead stop hill climb not so much.
I like camping
Camping is great👍
We towed our 5500lbs travel trailer with our Toyota Sequoia over the years no problems... I'm sure the Tacoma will be fine as long as it's under the tow capacity and hitch limit.. and we weren't even sure about our hitch weight most of the time😂 it's been 5 yrs. Great vehicles Toyotas are. Will never get another make ever again.
That's good to hear about your Sequoia. We hope to get a lot of use out of our Tacoma. We plan on driving up to Alaska next summer so we will be putting a lot of miles on it.
People don’t listen to what the factories tell you half tons are not for towing big heavy trailer safely upgrade to a three-quarter ton or better. They’re just better suited for this kind of environment and yes, that 10 speed sucks you gonna either change on it or leave it in towing mode, or get an older one with the speed
It’s not correct to base what’s around us today on stuff that existed thousands of years ago. Many people including me also believe you’re correct, it’s a tree stump
That is a good point thanks for sharing.
We were just there yesterday. Been there in a rental mini van, for door sub compact and yesterday in a Nissan Rogue. Definitely an easy drive (but bumpy) if you take your time and understand vehicle dynamics. But I will say that when the sun is out is it a most magical beaches with bathrooms, running water and shaded areas to eat. The rock mountain ledges behind the beach are awesome, too. We go out there every time we visit Kauai.
That sounds amazing! That was one of our favorite stops as well.
YOU MUST HAVE A 4-WHEEL ALIGNMENT AFTER YOU LIFT YOUR TRUCK. THE LIFT WILL MESS UP YOUR ALIGNMENT AND RUIN YOUR TIRES AND/OR CAUSE DRIVING PROBLEMS.
That is a great point and super important to get an alignment. We had our truck aligned when we had the tires put on.
Very nice
Thanks
Wouldn’t there be remnants of that Giant tree left over somewhere in the area?…… another way to find out is to dig under it……… Roots?
There are possible remnants scattered about but this was a giant tree from a very long ago.
An F150 like you had is able to tow about 12,000 pounds, the Tacoma’s only capable of about 6000 pounds if correctly equipped. You will end up putting a heavier strain on this truck than the F150.
Not what the video is about.
